A week back we told you how celebrated designer Manish Malhotra celebrated his birthday in advance with his muse Katrina Kaif in Maldives. Their pictures from Maldives where Katrina was seen sitting on Manish’s lap looked super-hot and took the internet by storm.
Manish who turned 50 today has been celebrating this milestone of his life since last few weeks. Last night the designer rang in his birthday by throwing a midnight birthday party which was attended by his industry friends. The stars who rushed in to celebrate the designer’s birthday include Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, nephew Punit Malhotra and Sophie Choudry among others.
The elated birthday boy shared, “Being 50 isn't the best feeling but thank God I don't look my age. I am overwhelmed. Honestly, I don't feel 50 either.”
However, his BFF Karan Johar was missing from the party, who was in news to throw a lavish party for Manish. And just when we thought what is Karan upto, we got to know the birthday fever is not yet over.
This is not how the actual birthday party of the designer is going to be. Manish’s BFF of 25 years Karan Johar is throwing a grand party tonight to celebrate the designer’s 50th birthday.
And how special is this birthday? Well, BFF Karan has made arrangements in his style to make this occasion an extravaganza affair. Here are some highlights:
• Karan has sent out special gold plated invites to all their friends. The invite in itself so touching that we bet you all will wish to have a friend like Karan in your life.
• Apparently Karan is going to fly down chefs from Lucknow and Goa to cook up Indian, Thai and continental fare.
• Karan is also having Chocolate truffles shipped from Italy, as they are Manish’s most favorite dessert.
• Everyone who has worked with Manish right from Shah Rukh Khan to Kareena Kapoor Khan are invited by Karan for this party. However the guest list was prepared by the birthday boy himself.
Manish overwhelmed by Karan’s sweet gesture said, “People talk highly of awards, but friends like Karan really make every day worthwhile. It will be a celebration with music, food and friends in attendance.”
