Recently it was reported that after a ‘dramedy’ (drama cum comedy) JOLLY LLB, Arshad Warsi and filmmaker Subhash Kapoor decided to join hands again for another film, this time a drama-action affair. Now we have further information on the film.

As per sources, this yet untitled film would be a hard hitting realistic affair and as volatile as it gets. Subhash Kapoor, who is known for designing his films as commercial fares with realistic setting to them, would be bringing his own take on the topical state of affairs. This indeed sounds promising, considering the fact he took on cricketing world (SAY SALAAM INDIA), political-kidnapper’s nexus (PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA) and judiciary (JOLLY LLB) in his own light hearted, yet pointed manner, in his first three attempts.
“This is the reason why Vidhu Vinod Chopra had also signed him to direct third in the ‘Munnabhai’ franchise. However with Sanjay Dutt unavailable, it was only practical for Subhash to work on other films in the interim period. Once he closed on this hard hitting subject, his choice of a leading man was Arshad Warsi,” informs a source.
A two hero film, it would have Arshad in a very serious role. It is going to be coming of age film for him as he would be seen in an altogether new avatar.
While rest of the cast is currently being put together, the film would go on floors in February.
The film is set in North and in order to lend authenticity, the film would be shot prominently in Chandigarh and other adjoining areas.
