Palak Tiwari and Ibrahim Ali Khan have been rumorously dating for years, with the internet often making assumptions about the state of their relationship. Even though both insist they are just friends, the internet never fails to go abuzz whenever they are seen together. Palak’s mother, TV actress Shweta Tiwari, recently spoke out about the speculation, expressing her annoyance at all the rumors surrounding her daughter.
During an open interview with Galatta India, Shweta spoke of how such rumors can affect a young girl growing up under fame. “Toh mujhe dar lagta hai ki kahi aisa na hoh ki abhi bachi hai na. Kabhi koi cheez galat likhe. Log kitne brutally likhte hai. Har second ladke ke saath uska affair rehta hai,” she claimed. Explaining her concern, Shweta further stated that she keeps thinking about how long Palak can hold up under such scrutiny and hopes it does not affect her psychologically.
Shweta also gave a peek into their private discussions, claiming Palak jokes about the rumors. “She has never said but tells me, ‘Oh mom, you know now I’m dating this guy.’ I’m like, huh? ‘I’m dating him. Don’t know when. Must ask them!'” Shweta revealed. While Palak jokes about it, Shweta confessed that when someone jokes about such stuff, it is generally because it annoys them on some level.
The dating rumors between Ibrahim and Palak initially started in 2022 after the two were seen exiting a restaurant. Shortly thereafter, they were seen at a concert in Mumbai, adding to the speculations that they were not just friends. Paparazzi images and fan speculations further fanned the flames, with most believing that there was a hidden relationship in the making.
Though, Palak explained the situation in an earlier interview with Siddharth Kannan too, where she mentioned, “We were just out, and we got papped. It ends there.” She further discussed that they were amongst a group of people and that the pictures forged a wrong narrative. “It was the narrative that people liked the most, but that’s it. We are nice friends. He is a very sweet guy. That’s all there is to it.”

While the rumour mill seems not to have any end in sight, both Ibrahim and Palak reaffirm that their relationship is strictly platonic—supported by a mother’s worry and a daughter’s level-headed reaction.
