Prime Video has announced the release date of its upcoming comedy drama series ‘Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya‘, starring Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. The streaming platform confirmed on Thursday, July 9, 2026, that the series will premiere on July 24. Set in a struggling school, the show tells the story of a group of teachers trying to improve the future of an institution that has long been overlooked.
In the series, Kay Kay Menon plays Gyaneshwar Tripathi, the relaxed and easy going headmaster of Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya. He leads a team of teachers who work together to improve the city’s lowest performing school. As they take on the challenge, they face several everyday problems, including difficult classrooms, limited resources, lack of support from parents and operational issues within the school. Despite these obstacles, the teachers continue working towards giving the school a fresh start.
According to the makers, the series combines humour with emotional moments while focusing on the importance of teamwork, determination and second chances. The official description states, “They confront everyday challenges ranging from unruly classrooms and resource shortages to parental apathy and operational hurdles. The series blends humor with heart, showcasing that even overlooked institutions can aspire for a second chance.”
‘Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya’ has been directed by Himank Gaur and is created and executive produced by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under the banner of Posham Pa Pictures. The series has been written by Biswapati Sarkar along with Akshay Asthana, Nupur Pai, Tatsat Pandey and Meghna Srivastava.
Apart from Kay Kay Menon, the show features an ensemble cast that includes Archana Puran Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Abhimanyu Singh, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni and Prachee Shah in important roles. The series brings together a mix of experienced actors and younger performers to tell a story set in the world of education.
With its focus on school life, everyday challenges and human relationships, ‘Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya’ aims to present a light hearted yet meaningful story. The comedy drama will begin streaming on Prime Video from July 24, 2026.
