Wamiqa Gabbi To Join Rishab Shetty In Jai Hanuman? Here’s What We Know About Her Reported Role

Wamiqa Gabbi is reportedly joining Rishab Shetty in Jai Hanuman, Prasanth Varma’s mythological epic and sequel to the hit film Hanu Man.

Wamiqa Gabbi is reportedly set to join Rishab Shetty in Jai Hanuman, the much awaited mythological epic being directed by Prasanth Varma. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the actor has been chosen for an important role in the sequel to Hanu Man. However, the filmmakers have not revealed details about her character yet, keeping her part of the story under wraps.

Wamiqa is expected to join the Hyderabad schedule of Jai Hanuman in the coming weeks as filming continues. Her reported casting comes at an exciting time in her career, as she has been appearing in projects across Hindi and South Indian cinema. The actor has recently been receiving attention for her performance in the Tamil film DC, adding to a busy year for her on screen.

Jai Hanuman will be led by Rishab Shetty, who is playing Lord Hanuman in the film. The project is the follow up to Prasanth Varma’s 2024 superhero film Hanu Man, which starred Teja Sajja in the lead role. The first film introduced audiences to a superhero story inspired by Indian mythology and became a major success.

The sequel is part of the growing Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, also known as PVCU. While Hanu Man focused on a modern superhero story with strong mythological elements, Jai Hanuman is expected to take the scale much further. The film will focus on Lord Hanuman’s devotion, strength and his role in Kaliyug, combining mythology with action and fantasy.

Production on Jai Hanuman began earlier this year with a traditional launch ceremony at Anjanadri Betta in Hampi. The location holds a special connection with the story of Lord Hanuman and was chosen for the beginning of the film’s journey. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project, while T Series is presenting it.

The makers are currently planning to release Jai Hanuman in theatres in the second half of 2027. With Rishab Shetty taking on the role of Hanuman and Wamiqa reportedly joining the cast, the film is bringing together actors and talent from different parts of the Indian film industry.

Wamiqa has had a busy year, with appearances in Bhooth Bangla and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. She is also being noticed for her work in Arun Matheswaran’s Tamil film DC, which features filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj in his acting debut. The film reportedly earned around Rs 44.26 crore worldwide in its first four days.

If Wamiqa’s casting is officially confirmed, Jai Hanuman will mark another major addition to her growing list of projects. For now, audiences will have to wait for the filmmakers to reveal who she will play in this much anticipated mythological adventure.
