Enid Blyton’s much loved world of The Magic Faraway Tree is heading to the big screen, with PVR INOX Pictures announcing the film’s India release date. Starring Andrew Garfield in the lead, the fantasy adventure will release in cinemas across India on 4th September 2026. The film brings Blyton’s classic story to a new generation while introducing younger audiences to the magical world that many readers grew up with. Andrew Garfield plays Tim and leads an ensemble cast featuring Claire Foy, Nonso Anozie as Moonface, Nicola Coughlan as Silky, Jessica Gunning as Dame Washalot and Jennifer Saunders as Grandma. Rebecca Ferguson also stars as the formidable Dame Snap.

The story follows a modern family that moves from the city to the countryside. The family’s three children soon make an unusual discovery when they come across a huge ancient tree. The tree is home to a group of strange and colourful characters, creating a world that is very different from their everyday lives.
