Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, continued its run at the Indian box office with a steady performance on its second Sunday. The film collected an estimated Rs. 4 crore on Day 10, taking its total collection to Rs. 75.25 crore after 10 days in theatres.
Although Sunday usually brings higher collections because of the weekend, Cocktail 2 remained almost flat compared to the previous day. The film earned Rs. 11.25 crore during its second weekend, which is around 75 per cent lower than its opening weekend. Even with this drop, the film has managed to maintain a stable run at the box office.
Based on its current performance, Cocktail 2 is expected to collect around Rs. 15 crore to Rs. 16 crore by the end of its second week. If this happens, the film’s total collection will reach around Rs. 80 crore. Looking further ahead, trade estimates suggest that the film could finish its theatrical run with a total collection between Rs. 85 crore and Rs. 90 crore. However, these projections may change depending on how the film performs in the coming weeks.
The original Cocktail, released in 2012, collected around Rs. 74.50 crore nett during its theatrical run and was declared a Clean Hit. While Cocktail 2 has already crossed that figure in terms of total collections, the comparison is not straightforward. When adjusted for inflation, the original film’s earnings would be significantly higher in today’s value.
The day wise box office collections of Cocktail 2 are as follows:
Day 1: Rs. 12.75 crore
Day 2: Rs. 15.50 crore
Day 3: Rs. 16.25 crore
Day 4: Rs. 5.75 crore
Day 5: Rs. 5.75 crore
Day 6: Rs. 4.50 crore
Day 7: Rs. 3.50 crore
Day 8: Rs. 3.25 crore
Day 9: Rs. 4.00 crore
Day 10: Rs. 4.00 crore (estimated)
Total: Rs. 75.25 crore
The next few days will be important for Cocktail 2 as weekday collections usually decide how far a film can go at the box office. If it continues to attract audiences, it has a chance of finishing close to the projected Rs. 85 crore to Rs. 90 crore mark by the end of its theatrical run.
