Akshay Kumar’s latest addiction

It is a known fact that when Akshay Kumar takes off for a family holiday twice a year, he makes it a point to stay away from all 'filmi' matters. It is no different this time around either, as he has been enjoying his quiet time with Twinkle and kids Aarav and Nitara. The only other company he has is a song that has him completely hooked.

''The song is 'Ye Tune Kya Kiya' from ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBARA,'' informs a source. ''He loves the song so much that it hasn't left his side even though he has been away for so long,'' the source adds.

Though Akshay had heard the song several times during the film's shoot, he made sure to carry it with him. From the time he stepped into his flight to the US, he has been playing it on a regular basis.

''Earlier this year he was very high on Mujh Me Tu (SPECIAL 26) and so fascinated was he with the composition that he even decided to come behind the mike and croon it himself,'' says a close associate of the actor. ''Though he isn't flexing his vocal chords in Ye Tune Kya Kiya, he is enjoying it thoroughly as a listener. He is in love with the unmissable Sufi flavour of the song.''

This means that while Imran Khan is happy to get into a joyous and playful mood with Tayyab Ali, Akshay is opting for a more sober number, soaked in romanticism.

Says Akshay, ''Ye Tune Kya Kiya is the one of the best tracks of my career. It's been beautifully picturised in Muscat and Mumbai and is one of the finest Sufi tracks to have released in recent times.''

According to Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, despite the track not being a typical dance number, it has derived spectacular traction in the online domain within days of its release and is already a huge hit.
