Four years into their romance that blossomed on Bigg Boss 15, television favourites Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra have been going strong. Recent reports suggested that this couple is all set to tie the knot, but both actors dismissed those. Tejasswi has now opened up about Karan’s early desire to get married and the reason they chose to delay it in a candid conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their YouTube channel Bharti TV.
Tejasswi remembered that Karan had confessed his liking for her with remarkable candor while they were still inside the Bigg Boss house. When Bharti asked her what she liked most about him, Tejasswi praised Karan for being emotionally expressive, especially during Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, at a time when he wasn’t completely sure about her feelings for him. She said his vulnerability and honesty were qualities she deeply admired.
The actress also shared that her mother took an instant liking for Karan, which came as a surprise. However, despite the approval from her family, it was Tejasswi’s mother who played a big role in slowing things down. Tejasswi shared that immediately after Bigg Boss 15, Karan was ready to get married. But her mother suggested taking time to understand each other in the “real world” before such a big commitment.
“Karan was like, ‘Let’s get married,’ but my mother said, ‘You’ve just come out of Bigg Boss. Maybe you should spend a year together outside. It’s not that I doubt you, but I don’t even know my daughter. I feel both of you need some time,’’’ Tejasswi remembered. She went on to say that she has a very impulsive nature when it comes to love, and that is something her mother wanted her to be mindful of.
Tejasswi also shared that Karan’s parents are very fond of her, and wedding-related conversations do take place between the two families. But when Bharti and Haarsh asked if 2026 could be the year they get married, Tejasswi replied with an equal amount of hope and caution: “Aise bol toh rahe hain… matlab aisi baatein toh hum kar rahe hain, par let’s see.”
Meanwhile, fans will get to see the couple together on screen again soon. Tejasswi and Karan will soon be seen in the third season of Laughter Chefs. The new season will have Bharti Singh back, with Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi hosting the show. The new season will also star Eisha Singh, Isha Malviya, Vivian Dsena, Aly Goni, Abhishek Kumar, Jannat Zubair, Elvish Yadav, Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah. The show airs from 22 November.
