Anil Kapoor has once again caught attention on social media after sharing a new video related to his popular web series 24. The actor gave fans a small preview of what they can expect, which quickly created excitement online.
He posted the video on Instagram and announced that the series will start premiering from April 24 on JioHotstar. The first season of the show was released in 2016 and received a strong response from viewers. Although Season 3 was planned earlier, it was never released and the reasons were not clearly shared.
In the video, Anil Kapoor confirmed the return of the show and said, “Spy thrillers ka universe palatne wala hai. Kyunki aa raha hai action shows ka baap. 24. Sirf JioHotstar par. (The universe of spy thrillers is about to be turned upside down. Because the ultimate action show is coming — 24. Only on JioHotstar).”
The series features him as Jai Singh Rathod, a counter terrorism agent and head of the Anti Terrorism Unit. His role was one of the key reasons the show became popular among viewers who enjoy fast paced action stories.
Talking about the show, Anil Kapoor shared his personal experience and connection with it. He said, “I’ve played many intense and action driven roles over the years, but 24 was never just another show for me, it was an adrenaline rush like no other. The pace, the pressure, and the real time storytelling pushed me to stay constantly on edge, both as an actor and as a storyteller. It’s a project that challenged me in the best way and continues to be very close to my heart. I’m excited that it’s now coming to JioHotstar, and I look forward to audiences experiencing that thrill all over again.”
Earlier, he had also replied to a fan asking about Season 3, saying, “Coming with 24 soon,” which increased curiosity among viewers.
The series was directed by Abhinay Deo and Rensil D’Silva. It also featured actors like Neil Bhoopalam, Anita Raj, and Sapna Pabbi in important roles.
