James Cameron Sued Over Avatar Character Design, Actress Claims Neytiri Was Based on Her Face

0

James Cameron and The Walt Disney Company are facing a major legal controversy after actress Q’orianka Kilcher filed a lawsuit connected to the blockbuster Avatar franchise. The actress has accused Cameron of using her facial features as inspiration for the famous character Neytiri without asking for permission or giving her any credit or payment.

Q’orianka Kilcher is best known for playing Pocahontas in The New World when she was just 14 years old. According to the lawsuit, the actress claims James Cameron admitted that her appearance inspired the look of Neytiri, the iconic Na’vi character played by Zoe Saldaña in the Avatar films.

As per reports, Q’orianka said Cameron used a published photograph of her and instructed his design team to study her facial features while creating Neytiri’s final appearance. Her legal team argued that the filmmaker and the companies involved used her identity and cultural background without consent while creating one of the biggest movie franchises in history.

The lawsuit also claims that the Avatar franchise publicly positioned itself as supportive of Indigenous communities and struggles, while secretly benefiting from the image of a real Indigenous actress behind the scenes. Along with Cameron, the complaint also names his production company Lightstorm Entertainment and several visual effects companies connected to the films.

According to court documents, Q’orianka first met Cameron at a charity event shortly after Avatar released in 2009. During the meeting, Cameron allegedly invited her to his office and gifted her a signed sketch of Neytiri that he personally drew. The actress claims the director also wrote a note saying her beauty had been an early inspiration for the character and mentioned that she could not join the film because she was busy working on another project at the time.

Q’orianka stated in the lawsuit that she felt deeply shocked and hurt after learning that her face may have been used as part of the creative process without her knowledge. She reportedly only became fully aware of it after an old interview clip of Cameron resurfaced online last year. In the video, Cameron allegedly pointed to a sketch of Neytiri and explained that the lower part of the character’s face was inspired by Q’orianka because she had “a very interesting face.”

The actress is now seeking financial compensation, a share of profits connected to the use of her likeness and a public acknowledgment from the filmmakers. The Avatar franchise remains one of the biggest in cinema history, with the first film earning more than $2.9 billion worldwide and its sequels also becoming massive box office successes.

Palash Muchhal Visits Rajasthan Temples Amid Legal Controversy, Turns Off Comments on Viral Post

0

Singer and music composer Palash Muchhal has been making headlines after a legal complaint was filed against him over alleged casteist remarks. Amid the controversy, the musician recently visited famous temples in Rajasthan and shared photos from his spiritual trip on social media. His latest Instagram post has now gone viral online, especially because he chose to disable the comments section after sharing the pictures.

On Wednesday, Palash posted several photos from his visit to the famous Khatu Shyam Ji Temple and Salasar Balaji Temple. In the pictures, the singer can be seen praying, bowing before the deities and seeking blessings. Some photos also showed him posing with temple officials during the visit. Along with the images, Palash wrote a simple emotional caption in Hindi that spoke about finding peace and comfort through faith and devotion.

The temple visit comes just days after Palash landed in legal trouble. According to reports, a case has been registered against him under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act. The complaint was reportedly filed by Vigyan Prakash Mane, who is said to be a childhood friend of cricketer Smriti Mandhana.’

As per reports, the incident allegedly took place on November 22 at a toll plaza on the Sangli Ashta road in Maharashtra. Mane claimed that during an argument, Palash used caste based offensive language against him. Police have registered the case under relevant sections of the SC ST Act along with other legal provisions, and the matter is currently under investigation.

Reports also suggest that the issue may have started because of a financial disagreement. Police sources claim that Palash had allegedly borrowed around ₹25 lakh from Mane for a film production project. Later, when Mane reportedly asked for the money back, it led to a heated argument between the two.

Meanwhile, Palash’s lawyer Shreyansh Mithare has strongly denied all allegations against the singer. He called the complaint a publicity stunt and stated that they are planning to take legal action against Mane for making false claims.

Palash had already been in the news earlier after his wedding with Smriti Mandhana was unexpectedly called off last year. The couple was reportedly supposed to get married on November 23, but the celebrations were stopped due to a medical emergency involving Smriti’s father. Soon after, Palash was also admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, leading to widespread rumours and speculation about their relationship.

Robert Downey Jr Slams Influencer Culture, Says Social Media Stars Cannot Replace Real Talent

0

Hollywood superstar Robert Downey Jr. has sparked a major debate online after speaking openly about influencer culture and the growing popularity of social media celebrities. During a recent appearance on the Conversations for our Daughters podcast, the actor shared his honest thoughts about influencers becoming the “stars of the future” and made it clear that he strongly disagrees with the idea.

The actor explained that in today’s world, people can become famous very quickly just by posting videos of themselves online. According to him, social media has made it possible for anyone with a phone and internet access to create celebrity status without necessarily building any real skill or craft first. While he admitted he does not completely see this as a bad thing, he believes it has created a challenge for younger generations who now need to focus more on developing their own identity and real abilities.

Downey Jr said he hopes young people continue to dream beyond internet fame and instead focus on creating meaningful work, learning new things and building careers that have long term value. He strongly reacted to the idea that influencers will become the biggest stars in the future, saying he completely disagrees with that belief. His comments quickly went viral online, with many people supporting his views while others defended the importance of digital creators in today’s entertainment world.

Interestingly, the actor himself is hugely popular on social media. His Instagram account has more than 58 million followers, most of whom became fans during his iconic run as Tony Stark in the Iron Man and the larger Avengers franchise. Despite this massive online following, Downey Jr admitted he tries not to spend too much time online because he does not want social media to consume his life.

He also shared that he has met many influencers while promoting films over the years and believes several of them are talented, grounded and genuinely good people. However, he explained that he avoids pretending to give fans constant personal access online just for attention. The actor said he feels many social media moments are often carefully manufactured rather than fully natural.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for Downey Jr’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor will next appear in Avengers: Doomsday, but this time he will not return as Iron Man. Instead, he will play the famous Marvel villain Doctor Doom, also known as Victor Von Doom. The film is being directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo and is expected to become one of Marvel’s biggest upcoming releases.

Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji Creates History at Box Office but Faces Drop After Record Opening

Riteish Deshmukh’s historical drama Raja Shivaji has become one of the most talked about Marathi films of the year. The movie, based on the life of legendary Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, released in theatres on May 1 and created history with a massive opening at the box office. The film earned an impressive ₹11.35 crore on its first day, making it the biggest opening ever for a Marathi film. Fans across Maharashtra and other parts of the country rushed to theatres to watch the grand historical drama, giving the film a dream start.

After the strong opening, the movie continued to perform well during the weekend. It collected around ₹10.55 crore on Saturday and saw further growth on Sunday with earnings of nearly ₹12 crore. The film benefited from positive word of mouth and emotional reactions from audiences who connected deeply with the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, despite the historic beginning, the film has not been able to maintain the same momentum during the weekdays.

According to the latest box office reports from Sacnilk, Raja Shivaji collected ₹4.25 crore on day 6. This was slightly lower than its previous day collection of ₹4.90 crore. So far, the movie has earned around ₹57.70 crore gross in India, while the net collection stands at approximately ₹48.65 crore. Even though the collections have slowed down after the opening weekend, the film is still performing better than many recent regional releases.

The film also faced competition from Ek Din, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, but the clash did not affect Raja Shivaji much. Reports suggest that Ek Din struggled at the box office, while audiences continued choosing Raja Shivaji in theatres. The movie earned around ₹3 crore from Marathi shows and ₹1.25 crore from Hindi screenings recently, showing strong support from Marathi audiences in particular.

Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, the film has been produced by Genelia D’Souza and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company. Riteish plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film, while Genelia stars as Saibai. Their sons Rahyl and Riaan also appear in the movie as young Shivaji. The film also features a big supporting cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi and Amole Gupte.

Speaking about the audience response, Riteish shared that he feels happiest seeing families visit theatres together to watch the film. He said many grandparents, parents and even very young children are coming to cinemas because they want the younger generation to learn about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. According to the actor, the emotional connection audiences are feeling is more important than just box office numbers.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Beach Dance Video From King Set Leaks Online, Ranveer Singh and Baby Dua Steal Hearts

0

Another leaked video from the sets of King has taken social media by storm and fans cannot stop talking about it. The latest clip shows Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone filming a romantic dance sequence on a beautiful beach in South Africa. While the stars were busy shooting, what truly melted hearts online was a sweet family moment involving Ranveer Singh and baby Dua.

In the viral video, Shah Rukh Khan is seen dressed in an all black outfit while Deepika Padukone looks stunning in a long pink and blue flowy dress. The two actors appear to be filming an emotional dance sequence against the scenic beach backdrop. However, fans quickly noticed another adorable detail in the background. A man believed to be Ranveer Singh was seen standing under an umbrella while holding baby Dua in his arms and watching the shoot from a distance.

Though Ranveer’s face is not clearly visible in the clip, fans are convinced it is him because of the protective way he was carrying the baby while staying close to Deepika during filming. Another moment from the video that grabbed attention was Deepika’s longtime bodyguard Jalaluddin Shaikh, lovingly called Jalal by fans, entertaining little Dua with funny dance moves while the shoot continued nearby. The wholesome family atmosphere has left fans emotional online.

Earlier, a source close to the production had revealed that Ranveer has been spending most of his time taking care of Dua while Deepika continues shooting for King. According to the insider, Ranveer has chosen to stay away from the spotlight despite the success of his recent projects and is fully focused on supporting Deepika and being a hands on father.

The source also shared that Deepika, Dua and Ranveer’s upcoming film Dhurandhar have brought major positive changes to his life. Meanwhile, leaks from the sets of King continue to surface online despite director Siddharth Anand requesting fans not to share videos or pictures from the shoot. He urged audiences to wait for the official surprises planned by the team so viewers can enjoy the film on the big screen as intended.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Spark Breakup Rumors After Awkward Met Gala Videos Go Viral

0

The internet has officially entered detective mode again after new videos of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky at the 2026 Met Gala started circulating online. And according to social media, people are now fully convinced something felt “off” between the couple during fashion’s biggest night. TMZ published footage from inside the event showing Rocky speaking with two women while Rihanna was nearby giving an interview. At one point in the clip, Rihanna turns toward Rocky with what many online are calling a noticeably cold or irritated expression.

Things apparently became even more awkward seconds later.

After Rocky walked over and tried to interact with Rihanna during the interview, she appeared distant and standoffish in response, immediately fueling speculation that the two may have been arguing behind the scenes.

Naturally, the internet wasted absolutely no time turning a few seconds of body language into full-blown relationship discourse.

This comes just a day after another viral clip surfaced showing the couple inside a Sprinter van following the Met Gala, where they appeared to be having what looked like a tense emotional conversation.

Some fans described the interaction as “normal couple behavior after a long exhausting night,” while others immediately started speculating about relationship trouble.

TMZ leaned fully into the rumors with headlines suggesting tensions “boiled over” during the event. Still, eyewitnesses at the gala reportedly claimed the pair looked perfectly happy together throughout most of the evening.

Which honestly tracks with how celebrity internet culture works now. A five-second clip with no audio can somehow become an entire relationship investigation overnight.

And because this is Rihanna and Rocky, the speculation exploded even faster.

The couple has been together publicly since around 2020 and currently share three children together, making them one of the most watched celebrity couples online.

Over the years, Rihanna and Rocky have built a reputation for appearing extremely relaxed and affectionate together during public events, interviews, and fashion appearances. So even the slightest awkward interaction immediately catches attention.

Social media reactions have been wildly split.

Some fans insist Rihanna simply looked tired after hours at the Met Gala and media interviews.

Others think the videos are being massively overanalyzed.

And then there are people convinced the clips prove there was real tension happening behind the scenes.

A lot of fans also pointed out how exhausting the Met Gala itself probably is, especially considering Rihanna arrived pregnant, spent hours posing for cameras, attending interviews, and dealing with nonstop media attention all night.

Meanwhile, others joked that Rocky talking to other women for approximately three seconds somehow became “the biggest scandal of the Met Gala.”

At the moment, neither Rihanna nor Rocky has addressed the speculation directly.

And honestly, there is currently zero actual evidence suggesting anything serious is happening between them beyond a couple of awkward-looking viral moments.

But that has never stopped the internet before.

Kathy Griffin Just Revived Her 16-Year Feud With Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Called Her a “Has-Been”

0

Kathy Griffin is once again dragging her years-long feud with Elisabeth Hasselbeck back into the spotlight. And honestly, she did not hold back. In a new YouTube video posted this week, Griffin revisited her infamous 2010 clash with the former The View cohost and absolutely roasted Hasselbeck while reflecting on their chaotic on-air argument. Griffin referred to Hasselbeck as an “indignantly stupid pain in the ass” before taking things even further.

“Some of you young folks might not even know who she was,” Griffin joked. “You heard me: was.”

That one line alone pretty much summarizes the energy of the entire rant.

The feud between the two dates back more than 15 years and has become one of Griffin’s favorite recurring comedy topics during her stand-up tours.

Back in 2010, Griffin appeared on The View and ended up in a tense confrontation after Hasselbeck accused her of making untrue and insulting jokes about the show’s cohosts in her stand-up routines.

Instead of backing down, Griffin famously fired back live on air.

“Actually, this moment is what I live for, so bring it,” Griffin said during the original exchange, while the audience erupted into applause.

Now, Griffin says she is still shocked the crowd sided with her.

“Even the home audience of The View, who showed up not to see me but to see the ladies of The View, applauded,” she recalled in her new video.

“She was very thrown that the audience went with me. I was very thrown.”

Griffin also mocked Hasselbeck’s recent temporary return to The View earlier this year, where she filled in for co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin during maternity leave.

“I didn’t watch any of it,” Griffin said. “I just thought the whole thing was funny.”

The comedian then doubled down on her criticism, saying she still jokes about Hasselbeck regularly because the former cohost “tried to one-up” her during their televised argument years ago.

The renewed feud comes during a period where Griffin has increasingly leaned back into celebrity and political commentary after years of controversy and public backlash following her infamous 2017 Donald Trump photo scandal. Recently, Griffin has also taken aim at other conservative television personalities, including former The View cohost Meghan McCain, whom she called an “annoying c—” in another online rant.

Meanwhile, Hasselbeck herself has largely stayed away from mainstream entertainment headlines in recent years compared to her peak View era during the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Still, the internet immediately started debating the revived drama.

Some viewers praised Griffin for remaining unapologetically chaotic and funny, while others felt the jokes came off unnecessarily bitter many years later.

But regardless of where people stand, one thing is very clear: Kathy Griffin absolutely has not forgotten that 2010 moment.

Kim Kardashian Is Reportedly Taking a Break From Her Law Journey After Failing the California Bar Exam

0

Kim Kardashian is reportedly pressing pause on one of the most talked-about personal goals of her career: becoming a lawyer. According to reports from Page Six and TMZ, the reality star and business mogul has decided to temporarily step away from taking the California Bar Exam after failing her most recent attempt last year. Sources claim Kardashian skipped the February 2026 exam and currently has no plans to sit for the July test either. Instead, insiders say she may wait until 2027 before trying again.

The news comes after a difficult few years in Kardashian’s legal journey, one she has publicly documented across interviews, social media, and episodes of The Kardashians.

While Kardashian has only taken the official California Bar Exam once, her path into law has already been unusually long and demanding. Before even qualifying for the main exam, she had to pass California’s “baby bar” exam, which is required for students pursuing legal apprenticeships instead of traditional law school.

That process alone took four attempts.

Kardashian finally passed the baby bar in 2021 after previously failing it three times, a moment she openly celebrated online at the time.

But last November, she revealed she had failed the California Bar Exam after taking it in July 2025.

“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram at the time. “I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.”

She added:

“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up. Just more studying and even more determination.”

Still, according to recent reports, the emotional toll of the process may have finally pushed her to step back for now. In a December interview with Time Magazine, Kardashian admitted the failed result seriously affected her confidence.

“I took a minute to process that,” she said. “Instantly, when I got my results, I didn’t feel good about it. I was really uncomfortable and not confident for a while.”

She also explained that she wanted to publicly address the failure herself before it became internet discourse.

“You get the results on a Friday, and I knew Sunday morning they were going to be live on the internet,” she said. “So I wanted to mention it first and let people know that it didn’t go my way.”

Over the years, Kardashian has repeatedly spoken about how physically and mentally exhausting the studying process has been.

On an episode of The Kardashians, she became emotional while discussing the intense preparation required for the exam.

“I’m absolutely gonna cry because it’s f—ing exhausting,” she said during the episode.

She described feeling like she had hit “a wall,” while also dealing with severe physical stress during the studying process.

“I threw my back out,” Kardashian revealed at the time. “I could hardly walk. I could hardly sit.”

Despite the setbacks, Kardashian’s legal ambitions have remained a major part of her public identity in recent years.

Beyond prison reform advocacy, she has worked on clemency campaigns and criminal justice cases, while also preparing to portray a lawyer in All’s Fair, the upcoming legal drama created by Ryan Murphy.

Online reactions to the latest report have been divided.

Some people are praising Kardashian for continuing to pursue something difficult despite repeated failures and public scrutiny. Others argue that her extended timeline highlights just how challenging the California Bar Exam truly is, even with extensive resources and private tutoring.

Either way, Kardashian’s legal journey has become one of the more unexpected long-term arcs in celebrity culture. And while she may be stepping back for now, it does not sound like she is giving up entirely.

The Boys Finale Is Literally Coming to Theaters in 4DX and Fans Are Already Terrified

0

If you thought watching The Boys at home was already unhinged enough, Amazon apparently decided fans now need to physically suffer through it too. In one of the most chaotic TV rollout ideas imaginable, the finale of The Boys is officially getting a theatrical release in 4DX theaters across the U.S. and Canada. Yes. Actual movie theaters. And yes, the seats are apparently going to shake, vibrate, and simulate the carnage happening onscreen. According to Variety, the final episode of the fifth and last season will screen May 19 at 9:30 p.m. ET in participating 4DX theaters at chains including AMC, Regal, Cineplex, Marcus, B&B, Cinepolis, Cinema West, and Regency.

Which means audiences are about to experience exploding bodies, blood splatter, Homelander meltdowns, and whatever horrifying thing Eric Kripke cooked up for the finale… with moving chairs and environmental effects.

Honestly, this feels both genius and deeply concerning.

For people unfamiliar with 4DX, it is basically the most extra movie experience possible. The format uses motion-enabled seats along with environmental effects like vibrations, wind, flashing lights, fog, and simulated impacts synced with whatever is happening on screen.

Which is kind of hilarious considering The Boys might be the absolute worst possible show to experience this way.

Because unlike a normal superhero story, The Boys does not exactly hold back.

This is the same series where people explode into literal chunks of flesh on a regular basis.

Naturally, fans online are already joking that the 4DX version may actually become a health hazard.

Amazon is leaning fully into the madness with its marketing too.

The official description for the screening promises viewers will “feel every deafening blast and shocking twist as blood, guts and gore are amplified by this total sensory experience.”

That sentence alone honestly sounds like a warning label. The show’s official X account also posted:

“In two weeks, we’re going out with a bang. Literally, because ya might vibrate watchin’ the series finale in 4DX.”

Very on brand.

What makes this even more interesting is that streaming platforms are increasingly experimenting with theatrical event screenings lately.

Netflix has done it with major finales like Stranger Things, while HBO recently screened the The Pitt Season 2 finale in theaters too.

But The Boys taking the 4DX route feels especially wild because the entire appeal of the show is chaos.

And honestly, it makes sense.

The series has become one of Amazon’s biggest hits since premiering in 2019, turning into both a commercial monster and a critical success. It even earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series back in 2021.

Created by Eric Kripke alongside Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the show built its reputation by taking superhero culture and absolutely tearing it apart.

At the center of it all is the terrifying rivalry between Billy Butcher and Homelander, played by Karl Urban and Antony Starr.

And according to Amazon, the finale is supposed to be the “series-defining showdown” between them. So expectations are already insanely high. The cast for the final season also includes Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Karen Fukuhara, Jensen Ackles, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Meanwhile, the franchise itself is still expanding despite the main series ending. Spinoffs like The Boys Presents: Diabolical already exist, while upcoming projects like Vought Rising are still moving forward. So even though the flagship series is ending, Amazon clearly has no plans to let this universe die anytime soon.

Still, there is something kind of poetic about The Boys ending with fans being physically rattled in vibrating chairs while fake blood flies across the screen. Honestly, that feels exactly like the kind of finale this show would want.

Friends Star Lisa Kudrow Says Fans Completely Missed the Point of the Ross and Rachel “Break” Debate

0

For nearly 30 years, fans of Friends have been fighting over one question: Were Ross and Rachel actually on a break? But according to Lisa Kudrow, everyone has been arguing about the wrong thing this entire time. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kudrow finally gave her brutally honest opinion about the most infamous relationship debate in sitcom history. And honestly, her answer completely changes the conversation.

When host Jimmy Fallon asked whether Ross and Rachel were technically “on a break,” Kudrow admitted she was almost scared to answer because of how intense the fandom still gets over it decades later.

But then she said something fans probably were not expecting.

“Well, no,” Kudrow said. “But it’s beyond that. It’s beyond break or not. He was a bad boyfriend.”

And suddenly the studio audience exploded in applause.

Honestly, the reaction itself says a lot about how perspectives around Ross Geller have changed over the years.

Back when Friends originally aired, Ross was largely framed as the lovable romantic hero. Emotional, jealous, awkward, dramatic, yes, but ultimately the guy audiences were supposed to root for.

Now, years later, many viewers have started rewatching the series through a completely different lens.

And Ross’ behavior does not always age well.

Kudrow explained that during the Friends reunion a few years ago, the cast still leaned toward defending Ross with the classic “they were on a break” argument. But her opinion has evolved since then.

Now, she says Rachel should never have gotten back together with him at all.

According to Kudrow, the issue was never just about whether Ross technically cheated. It was about how quickly he spiraled after Rachel became overwhelmed with work responsibilities and temporarily unavailable emotionally.

“To me, I don’t care if he slept with three other women or no other women,” Kudrow explained. “You had a crisis at work, so you weren’t available for a few nights, and he flipped out.”

And honestly, that might be the most modern interpretation of the breakup anyone from the cast has ever given.

Because for years, the debate focused almost entirely on technicality.

Did the phrase “we were on a break” give Ross permission to sleep with someone else immediately afterward? But newer audiences tend to focus less on the technical definition of a breakup and more on emotional maturity, insecurity, and communication.

And viewed through that lens, Ross comes across far less sympathetic than he did in the 1990s.

What makes Kudrow’s comments especially funny is that she looked genuinely shocked when the audience loudly agreed with her.

“Oh, you agree? Oh, I feel better,” she laughed. Meanwhile, David Schwimmer has stayed firmly committed to Ross’ side for years. During his own appearance on Fallon back in 2020, he flatly declared, “They were on a break.”

And Jennifer Aniston has defended Rachel just as strongly, once joking in a Friends-themed ad, “For the record… we were SO not on a break.”

At this point, the argument has honestly become bigger than the show itself. The Ross and Rachel breakup is basically television’s version of a cultural Rorschach test. People’s opinions on it often say more about their own relationship values than the actual episode.

Some viewers see Ross as emotionally impulsive but technically innocent.
Others see him as possessive, insecure, and manipulative long before the famous breakup even happened.

And somehow, nearly three decades later, people are still passionately picking sides. Which honestly says a lot about how massive Friends still is culturally. Most sitcom storylines disappear after a season ends. This one became internet folklore.
