According to him, those films are “more popular now than they ever were” when they first released.

He described a broader cultural shift where audiences are longing for “old times,” and that sentiment is influencing casting decisions across Hollywood.

Lillard was blunt about his place in that trend. He joked that he does not think people suddenly like him more as an actor, but rather that they associate him with a specific era they miss.

His perspective is shaped by a career that has seen both highs and lows. After reprising his role as Shaggy in Scooby-Doo 2, Lillard expected his career to take off. Instead, the film’s poor box office performance led to the opposite outcome, leaving him struggling to find consistent work.

He later admitted that period forced him to reassess his priorities. He said he had been caught up in chasing fame and success, only to experience stretches where he felt irrelevant and unsure if he would work again.

Anne Hathaway is setting the record straight about rumors surrounding The Devil Wears Prada 2. During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Hathaway addressed claims that models were fired from the sequel due to body type. She firmly denied the rumors, calling them “misinformation” and clarifying that no one lost their job because of size inclusivity efforts on set. According to Hathaway, the production actually expanded opportunities rather than limiting them.

After attending real fashion shows in Milan for research, both actresses noticed how “alarmingly thin” many runway models were. Hathaway reportedly approached producers to ensure that the film’s fashion scenes would not reflect that same standard.

With the sequel arriving 20 years after the original, the creative team appears focused on updating the story to reflect current conversations in fashion and media. Hathaway’s comments make it clear that inclusivity was not just a surface-level addition, but a deliberate effort to evolve the film’s perspective.

Michael B. Jordan may have just won one of Hollywood’s biggest honors, but he still has not figured out where to put it. A month after taking home his first Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Sinners, Jordan revealed that his Oscar statuette is currently sitting in a rather unexpected place, his closet. Speaking on the red carpet at the premiere of Swapped, he admitted that the award has been moving around as he tries to decide the perfect spot for it. For now, it is “out of sight, out of mind.”

Jordan explained that winning an Oscar is one thing, but figuring out how to display it is another challenge altogether. Despite the significance of the moment, he said he is no longer dwelling on it and is instead focused on what comes next.

That next step is his upcoming project The Thomas Crown Affair, a heist thriller that he is both directing and starring in. The film is a remake of the 1968 classic and will feature Jordan alongside Adria Arjona.

Jordan has already teased the film at CinemaCon, describing his vision as a blend of style, sophistication, and rebellion while giving the story a more grounded emotional core.

Even though he is looking ahead, the Oscar win was clearly a defining moment. During his acceptance speech, Jordan became emotional as he thanked his collaborators, including director Ryan Coogler, as well as his family and fellow nominees.

He also paid tribute to legendary Black actors who paved the way before him, including Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, Forest Whitaker, and Will Smith, acknowledging their influence on his journey.

The win was especially notable given the competition. Jordan beat out major contenders including Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Wagner Moura, and Ethan Hawke.

And while the award is still waiting for its permanent display spot, Jordan did follow one Oscars tradition immediately after his win. He took the statuette straight to In-N-Out to celebrate.
