Project Hail Mary Becomes India’s Biggest Space Film Hit

Project Hail Mary has become one of the most successful Hollywood films in India this year. In just 4 weeks, the film has collected ₹80 crore at the box office. Even in its fourth week, the film is still drawing large crowds, with many shows running housefull in major cities.

The film’s strong performance is supported by repeat viewings and the overall theatre experience it offers. Many viewers are returning to watch it again, which has helped it maintain steady collections over time. Its popularity is not limited to one region, as audiences across the country are showing interest in the film.

With this performance, Project Hail Mary has now become the highest grossing space film in India. It has gone past the lifetime collections of other well known films like Interstellar, The Martian, and Gravity. These films were earlier considered benchmarks in the space genre, making this achievement notable.

The film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and is distributed in India by Sony Pictures Releasing International. It is available in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. This wide language release has helped the film reach a larger audience base across different regions.

In addition, the film is being shown in IMAX and other premium large screen formats. These formats provide a more immersive viewing experience, which has likely contributed to its popularity among audiences who prefer watching large scale films in theatres.

Overall, Project Hail Mary continues to perform steadily at the box office even after several weeks. Its consistent audience turnout and strong collections highlight its impact and reach in India.

Tom Cruise Brings Maverick Back To Indian Theatres

0

To mark 40 years since the release of the iconic 1986 film Top Gun, Paramount Pictures will bring both the original movie and its sequel back to theatres in India. Starting 15 May 2026, audiences will be able to watch these films on the big screen again for one week only. This gives both longtime fans and younger viewers a chance to experience the story in cinemas.

The original film follows a group of skilled Navy pilots training at the Fighter Weapons School known as Top Gun. These pilots compete with each other while pushing their limits in the air. Tom Cruise plays Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a confident and talented pilot who becomes one of the most memorable characters in film history.

The re release also includes the sequel Top Gun Maverick. This film became a huge success, earning more than $1.5B worldwide and becoming the number 1 movie of 2022. It is also the highest grossing film in the history of Paramount Pictures. Watching both films together creates a complete experience of the story across two generations.

In Top Gun Maverick, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell continues his career after more than thirty years of service. He avoids promotions that would keep him grounded and instead continues flying as a test pilot. He is later assigned to train a group of Top Gun graduates for a dangerous mission. During this time, he meets Lt Bradley Bradshaw, known as “Rooster,” who is the son of his late friend Lt Nick Bradshaw, also called “Goose.”

The original film was directed by Tony Scott and features actors like Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Kelly McGillis, Meg Ryan and Tom Skerritt. The sequel is directed by Joseph Kosinski and includes a cast with Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Monica Barbaro, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris and Val Kilmer.

Both films will be available in Indian cinemas from 15 May 2026 for one week.

Panchayat Actor Vinod Suryavanshi Shares His Difficult Journey

0

Panchayat has become one of the most popular shows on OTT platforms, known for its simple storytelling and strong performances. The series features actors like Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav, who have played key roles across seasons. The show is now preparing for its Season 5, which has already started filming.

Among the cast, actor Vinod Suryavanshi appeared as the new Sachiv Ji. Even with limited screen time, his performance received attention from viewers. Recently, he spoke about his personal journey and the challenges he faced while growing up and building his career.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vinod shared his experiences of caste based discrimination in his village in Karnataka. He said, “In my village in Karnataka, casteism is still prevalent, even today. There are two areas in that village – one for the upper castes and one for the lower castes. The area where the Dalits live is separate from the village. Once, when I went to the village with my father, I was 12 years old and ate at a hotel, we had to wash our own plates and also pay for the food. There is still a temple where we are not allowed to go in my village.”

He also spoke about facing rejection in the entertainment industry due to his appearance. He said, “I was rejected many times because of my looks. When I gave auditions for TV, they often wanted a ‘rich look’. Even for a beggar’s role, they wanted someone with a rich look. I was told I didn’t fit the requirement. I was selected for a role as a house help. The casting team had finalised me, and I reached on time for the shoot. But when the creative director came, she asked who I was. When they told her, she said, ‘No, this won’t work – we need someone with a fair look. He is dark-complexioned, pack him up.”

Vinod also shared that his childhood was not easy. His mother worked as a domestic helper, while his father was a mason who did not have regular work. He recalled that his father would sometimes return home drunk and behave violently, which made growing up difficult.

Despite these challenges, Vinod Suryavanshi has continued to work towards his acting career. With Panchayat Season 5 now in production, his journey highlights the struggles many actors face before finding recognition.

Top Gun 3: Tom Cruise to returns as Maverick

0

For fans of Tom Cruise, this is the kind of update that feels both nostalgic and exciting at the same time. The man who made aviator sunglasses and fighter jets look effortlessly cool is gearing up to return as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell once again, with Top Gun 3 now officially in development. The confirmation came during CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Paramount Pictures laid out its upcoming plans. Studio executive Josh Greenstein made it clear that the third film isn’t just an idea floating around. The script is already in progress, and Cruise is very much on board, reuniting once again with veteran producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who has been a driving force behind the franchise since day one.

To understand why this matters so much, you have to go back to where it all began.

The original Top Gun wasn’t just a hit film, it became a cultural moment. Directed by Tony Scott, it turned Maverick into an icon and cemented Cruise as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Alongside him were memorable performances from Val Kilmer, Kelly McGillis, and Tom Skerritt. The film’s mix of adrenaline, romance, and music created a blueprint that stayed relevant for decades.

When Top Gun: Maverick finally arrived, expectations were sky high, and yet it managed to exceed them. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the sequel didn’t rely only on nostalgia. It pushed practical filmmaking to another level, especially with real aerial sequences that made audiences feel like they were inside the cockpit. The film also brought emotional closure, particularly through Cruise’s scenes with Kilmer, which resonated deeply with longtime fans.

There’s also a bigger reason why Top Gun 3 is happening now. Top Gun: Maverick wasn’t just a critical success, it was a box office phenomenon, earning over 1.4 billion dollars worldwide and becoming one of the biggest films of Cruise’s career. It also proved something Hollywood had been struggling with for years, that audiences would still show up in massive numbers for a theatrical experience if the film delivered something truly immersive.

Early media-reports suggest that the next chapter may continue exploring Maverick’s role as a mentor while also expanding the stories of the younger pilots introduced in the sequel, including characters played by Miles Teller and Glen Powell. There is also strong industry buzz that the creative team is being carefully assembled to maintain the same balance of emotional storytelling and large-scale action that made the last film work so well.

What remains unclear is the timeline. Cruise is currently juggling multiple large-scale projects, including future installments of Mission: Impossible, which means Top Gun 3 will likely take time before it reaches production. But the fact that the script is already underway tells you this isn’t just talk, it’s a serious continuation of a franchise that has managed to stay relevant across generations.

For the Top Gun fans, this isn’t just another sequel announcement. It’s the return of a character who has aged with the audience, carrying the same swagger but now layered with experience, regret, and responsibility. And if the last film proved anything, it’s that Maverick still has plenty of altitude left to climb.

Neha Dhupia Reveals Shocking Moment During Pregnancy

0

Neha Dhupia recently spoke about her pregnancy journey and shared a personal experience from that time. She revealed that her contractions began while she was shooting at Yash Raj Studios, something she did not expect while continuing her work. Neha appeared on Parineeti Chopra’s talk show titled Mom Talks, where she discussed how she managed both her professional and personal responsibilities. The show focuses on conversations with parents and their experiences with raising children.

During the discussion, Neha explained that she chose to keep working throughout her pregnancy. She said she worked until eight and a half months and did not want to step away from her commitments. Talking about this, she said, “As a woman, you should be able to do all the things you wish to do after becoming a mom. The needle shouldn’t change too much.” She further added, “I wanted to go back to work. I worked right till the end, till eight and a half months pregnant. My contractions actually started at Yash Raj Studios.”

She also spoke about the expectations that society often places on women after they become mothers. According to her, women should have the freedom to make their own choices, whether it is about work or family life.

Neha Dhupia is married to Angad Bedi. The couple has two children. Their daughter Mehr was born in November 2018, and their son Guriq was born in October 2021. Mehr is now 7 years old, while Guriq is around four.

Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra, who hosts the show, recently became a mother herself. She welcomed her son Neer in October last year with her husband Raghav Chadha.

Neha’s experience highlights how working women often try to balance their careers and personal lives, especially during important phases like motherhood.

Why Adrian Grenier didn’t return in The Devil Wears Prada 2

0

The absence of Adrian Grenier in The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been one of the biggest talking points around the sequel, and now director David Frankel has finally explained why. Despite early discussions about bringing Grenier back, even if just for a brief cameo, the idea ultimately fell apart due to timing. Frankel revealed that production was already too far along, and with the film being completed less than a month before release, there simply wasn’t enough time to properly include his character.
Grenier, who originally played Nate, the boyfriend of Andy Sachs portrayed by Anne Hathaway, had been expected by many fans to make at least a small appearance. His absence feels even more noticeable given the return of major cast members including Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci.

Interestingly, Frankel hinted that there had been a specific idea for Nate’s cameo but chose not to reveal what it was, leaving fans to speculate about how the character might have fit into the updated story. Grenier himself admitted he was disappointed about being left out, though he handled the situation lightly, even poking fun at it in a self-aware Starbucks commercial.

His isn’t the only cameo that didn’t survive the final cut. Sydney Sweeney also reportedly filmed a short appearance as herself, playing a celebrity client in a scene designed to reintroduce Emily Blunt’s character. That sequence, however, was trimmed for pacing and structure, meaning her role never made it to the final version either.

The sequel itself has been a long time coming. For years, the team resisted the idea of revisiting the story, largely because the original film felt complete. It wasn’t until recently, after a reunion moment between the core cast sparked renewed interest, that a clear direction for a sequel finally emerged.

Even without every familiar face returning, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is shaping up to be a major nostalgic event, blending legacy characters with new additions, including a cameo from Lady Gaga. But the missing pieces, especially Nate, are a reminder that even the most anticipated reunions come with compromises behind the scenes.

Denise Richards shares emotional tribute after death of Patrick Muldoon

0

Denise Richards is mourning the loss of Patrick Muldoon, sharing a deeply emotional tribute that reflects a bond spanning decades, far beyond their time as a couple. Following Muldoon’s sudden death at the age of 57 due to a heart attack, Richards took to social media to express her grief, calling him her “best friend” and “family.” The two first met in the late 1990s while working in the industry and went on to date for several years after starring together in Starship Troopers.

Even after their romantic relationship ended, their connection remained strong, evolving into a close and enduring friendship.

In her tribute, Richards reflected on the length and depth of their relationship, describing how Muldoon had been a constant presence throughout her adult life. She spoke about the kind of rare bond built on loyalty, support, and unconditional care, emphasizing how much he had been her emotional anchor through different phases of life.

She also highlighted his personality, remembering him as someone who brought energy into every room, with a warmth and charisma that made a lasting impression on those around him. Alongside that, she described him as an underrated talent in the industry, someone whose work and presence perhaps never received the full recognition it deserved.

What stands out most in her message is not just the grief, but the sense of shared history. Richards recalled how they had grown together, supported each other, and remained deeply connected over the years. Her words paint a picture of a relationship that moved beyond labels, rooted in genuine companionship and trust.

The tribute ends on a particularly emotional note, with Richards expressing how difficult it is to imagine life without him and hoping for signs that he is still somehow present. It is a raw reflection of loss, but also of a connection that clearly defined a significant part of her life.

Muldoon, known for his roles in Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, leaves behind not just a body of work, but relationships that clearly meant just as much as his on-screen legacy.

The Mummy Gains Momentum With Solid Tuesday Numbers

The Mummy, also known as Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, is performing steadily at the Indian box office. The horror film collected Rs. 2.25 crore on its first Tuesday, showing an increase of around 11 per cent compared to its opening day. This rise suggests that the film is holding audience interest during the weekdays.

After five days, the total collection of the film has reached Rs. 13.25 crore gross in India. Based on its current performance, it is expected to finish its first week at around Rs. 17 crore. The film is doing particularly well in South India, with Tamil Nadu contributing a significant share of its earnings.

The film is now being seen as a potential clean hit at the Indian box office. While it may not perform as strongly as films like F1 The Movie or Project Hail Mary in terms of long run, its steady collections indicate that it can maintain a good overall performance. Earlier, the film was expected to finish around Rs. 20 crore, but with its current trend, it could go closer to Rs. 30 crore. For a film of this type, that would be considered a strong result.

Looking at its daily collections, the film earned Rs. 2.00 crore on Friday, Rs. 3.00 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 4.00 crore on Sunday. On Monday, it collected Rs. 2.00 crore, followed by Rs. 2.25 crore on Tuesday. This brings the total to Rs. 13.25 crore gross so far.

The title The Mummy has a strong recall value in India because of the earlier film series. The original The Mummy earned around Rs. 20 crore, while its sequels collected about Rs. 27 crore in 2001 and Rs. 48 crore in 2008. When adjusted to current values, these figures would be close to or above Rs. 200 crore. Although the new film is not directly connected to that series, the familiar name may have helped attract initial attention.

If the current trend continues, the film has a good chance of becoming one of the successful Hollywood releases in India this year.

Humse tum mile hi kyun
Milke jo hona hi tha humko juda
Saath tha itna bas
Tu bata kya ye tera hai faisla?

Tere bin na kate ek pal bhi mera
Bin tere rahoon main kaise bata?

Tu dil hai mera, tu ghar hai mera
Dil tod ke na jao mere humnava
Tu dil hai mera, tu ghar hai mera
Mujhe chhod ke na jao mere humnava

O… O…
Dil tod ke na jao mere humnava
O… O…
Mujhe chhod ke na jao mere humnava

Kaise tune soch liya ke ab tu na raha mera
Hota hai jo sadiyon mein wahi ehsaas tu mera
Ab teri in galiyon mein phirun har raat aawara
Dhoond raha tha main tere hi naam ka tara

Kitna ginun main in taaron ko abhi
Teri ye tadap na ab jayegi kabhi
Tere bin na kate ek pal bhi mera
Bin tere rahoon main kaise bata?

Tu dil hai mera, tu ghar hai mera
Dil tod ke na jao mere humnava
Tu dil hai mera, tu ghar hai mera
Mujhe chhod ke na jao mere humnava

O humnava… ye dil mera…
Nahi jaanta hai ye jeena tere bina
O humnava… socha na tha…
Aisa bhi aayega din tere bina

Bas tujhse hi aakhri hai meri ilteja
Jiyun toh kaise jiyun main ye toh bata
Tu dil hai mera, tu ghar hai mera
Mujhe chhod ke na jao mere humnava
