Aamir Khan Reveals Why He Rarely Watches Films

0

Aamir Khan, known for his work in Indian cinema, recently shared an interesting detail about his personal habits. Despite being a well known actor and filmmaker, he said that he hardly watches films. In an interview, Aamir explained that this habit goes back to his childhood. He said that he has always been more interested in reading than watching movies. Talking about this, he shared, “This is how I’ve been since childhood.

I’ve been a reader. The only films I’ve watched consistently are the black and white films, or the really old films, which used to come on Doordarshan. Back in the day, I grew up in a very conservative household. And my parents were very strict about watching films and all that. We were not allowed to watch films. So, at that time, I remember, if I had asked my mom if I could watch a film, she would say yes, but romantic films were not allowed.”

He also spoke about how he would watch films only on weekends. Most of these were older movies, especially those featuring actors like Ashok Kumar and Dilip Kumar. He added that he has also seen a lot of regional cinema over time.

Even today, Aamir says that his habit has not changed much. He said, “I got into filmmaking at the age of 18. I started working as an assistant. I don’t want to sound patronizing, but just as a joke, I’d like to say that some people play football and some people watch football. That’s a good way to put it. I make films, I barely watch them. That’s the truth of the answer. I barely watch films. So, I don’t watch the latest movies. I have no idea what’s happening in Hollywood. I’m in my own world, I don’t really watch stuff.”

This statement has surprised many people, as Aamir Khan is considered one of the most respected figures in the film industry. His approach shows that his focus has always been more on creating films rather than watching them.

On the work front, Aamir is currently waiting for the release of his production Ek Din. The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and stars Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. It is set to release in theatres on 1 May.

He is also working on another project titled Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film features Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh. It is scheduled to release on 13 August.

Overall, Aamir Khan’s comments give a simple insight into his personality and how his early life has influenced his choices even today.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are often seen as one of the most talked about couples in Bollywood. While Shahid continues to work in films, Mira has built her own identity outside the industry. Even without being an actor, she has gained attention through her work and public presence.

Recently, Mira attended the Times Now Summit 2026 in Delhi, where she spoke about her personal choices and career path. During the conversation, she was asked if she had ever thought about joining films, especially since she is now part of a well known film family.

Responding to the question, Mira made it clear that acting was never something she considered. She spoke about her respect for the craft and the effort that goes into it. She said, “I am part of a very talented family. I think I admire them and their drive so much. Seeing it in such close quarters has made me understand that there is a lot of skill, a lot of hard work, a sense of relentlessness that is required to hone that craft and that art”.

She further explained why she chose not to explore acting as a career. “And to take it very lightly would be a disservice to the art form in itself. I think I was cut out for something different. So I’m very happy to be in the audience in the back. I don’t think it ever crossed my mind”.

Apart from talking about films, Mira also shared her thoughts on identity and personal growth. She spoke about her journey from Delhi to Mumbai and how important it is for her to have her own sense of self. According to her, identity is shaped not just by work but also by relationships and life experiences.

She said, “For me, I think identity is a very strong part of who I am, my own identity. But I feel I’m very proud to have an identity that values all the relationships that I have as well. I think that’s what’s made me who I am today”.

Mira also highlighted that women should not see their roles in life as limitations. Instead, she believes these roles add value and strength, helping them grow in different ways while still following their goals.

Today, Mira is known for her work as an entrepreneur and influencer. She is associated with her skincare brand Akind and also runs a wellness platform called Dhun. Her journey shows that it is possible to build a strong identity even outside the film industry, while still being connected to it in a personal way.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan have spoken about Rajpal Yadav’s ongoing legal troubles related to a cheque bounce case. Rajpal Yadav, who went to jail last month for allegedly not repaying borrowed money to produce a film, is currently out on interim bail. The actor’s situation has sparked concern and advice from industry colleagues, especially about the challenges actors face when stepping into film production.

Akshay Kumar, who will be seen sharing screen space with Rajpal in the upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, advised actors to avoid producing films if they do not understand the process fully. He told SCREEN that actors should stick to acting and avoid trying to earn money quickly through shortcuts. “We are actors, and producers know how to produce a film, so you should not try to be a producer when you don’t know the trick,” said Akshay. He also praised Rajpal Yadav’s talent, saying that when the actor gives his best, he delivers even more than expected. Akshay added that their natural banter on set makes working together a lot of fun, and sometimes they even improvise lines that impress the director Priyadarshan.

Priyadarshan, who has directed 98 films but never produced one himself, shared a similar viewpoint. He explained that many successful directors start producing their films, but he prefers to focus on directing. Speaking about his work with Rajpal, Priyadarshan highlighted their comic chemistry, particularly the physical comedy in Bhooth Bangla, comparing Akshay and Rajpal’s on-screen dynamic to that of Tom and Jerry.

Bhooth Bangla, which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2026, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The makers have reportedly planned to release the trailer on March 30, although this is yet to be officially confirmed. The teaser, released earlier, was widely appreciated by the audience. The film also stars Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Asrani, and Paresh Rawal, adding to the excitement.

Through their comments, both Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan expressed support for Rajpal Yadav while emphasizing the importance of focusing on one’s craft. Their advice reflects the challenges actors face when exploring production, highlighting how experience and planning are crucial in the film industry. Bhooth Bangla promises comedy, action, and stellar performances from its talented cast, with fans eagerly waiting for the trailer and the film’s release.

Supriya Pathak and Pankaj Kapur are today seen as one of the most loved and respected couples in the film industry. They have been happily married for 38 years, but their love story did not begin easily. In a recent conversation with her daughter Sanah Kapur, Supriya shared how her mother, veteran actress Dina Pathak, was strongly against their relationship in the beginning.

Supriya recalled that her mother did not believe the relationship would last. In fact, she was so unsure that she often said that Pankaj might leave her someday. Even though the couple has now spent decades together, Supriya joked that her mother might still have felt the same way if she were alive.

She also revealed that her mother tried many ways to discourage her from marrying Pankaj. Dina Pathak even tried to find faults in him. At one point, she claimed that he drank a lot, even though in reality he has never consumed alcohol. Supriya shared that her mother would often bring up such points to convince her that he was not the right partner.

This phase went on for quite some time until Supriya finally decided to stand firm. She told her mother clearly that she was going to marry Pankaj on a fixed date, and it was her choice whether she wanted to attend the wedding or not. It was a bold moment where Supriya chose her own path despite family pressure.

In a lighter moment, she also shared a funny memory from that time. Her mother suddenly asked her if she liked paneer. When Supriya said yes, her mother connected it to Pankaj being Punjabi, almost as if that was a deciding factor. It became a humorous yet memorable part of their story.

Over time, things changed. Dina Pathak eventually accepted the relationship and grew very fond of Pankaj. In fact, Supriya said that he later became her mother’s favorite person in the family.

Today, Supriya and Pankaj have built a strong and loving family. They have two children together, Sanah and Ruhaan. Pankaj is also the father of actor Shahid Kapoor from his earlier marriage.

Their journey shows that even relationships that face strong opposition can grow into lasting bonds with time, understanding, and love.

She recalled the moment she first learned about her diagnosis and how difficult it was for her to handle the news. I had no strength.”

Rajshri explained that the pain she experienced was not just physical but also emotional. She said, “Till today, when people ask me how it happened to you… you’re so fit, blah blah … honestly I don’t have an answer. Pain was not just physical but mental and emotional pain was unbearable. I did crumble many times sometimes alone and sometimes with my friends who held me up at every single step. But there were many days when I rose up and made sure I didn’t give up.”

She also shared that there are days when she does not feel strong and prefers to take things slowly. She expressed this feeling by writing, “There are days I don’t want to have all the strength in the world. I just want to be still, like in Mary Oliver’s poem like the sparrows that sit on my window bougainvillea and stare at the sunrise with me. Can I call getting up with a happy smile an achievement? Then today I did. I achieved a smile and a hug for myself and thinking about all the people who is with me in this journey, called, messaged and gave me so much love. Tomorrow I know there will be battles to prepare for, but let today be a day of love. Please.”

Earlier, Rajshri had shared that she was diagnosed with Infiltrating ductal carcinoma, which is a type of breast cancer. Now it’s time you all know. We fortunately caught this early in a routine check-up, which gave us a fighting chance. Tons of tests and surgery felt like a rollercoaster ride, but trust me, it was everyone’s love and warmth that carried me through. And seeing my Aai and Papa’s faces after surgery melted my fears into unbreakable strength.”

Rajshri Deshpande is known for her work in films and series like Manto, Sacred Games, and The Sky Is Pink.

Her story highlights the importance of early detection and also shows how emotional support plays a key role during recovery.

“Not in a Hurry” Kriti Sanon Reacts Strongly to Wedding Rumours

0

Kriti Sanon recently made headlines after her candid reaction to a question about her wedding plans. The actress, who is often linked to Kabir Bahia due to their public appearances together, has never confirmed her relationship. However, the rumours continue to follow her.

At the Times Now Summit 2026, Kriti was asked about her marriage plans in an indirect way, especially after her sister Nupur Sanon recently got married. The question hinted at whether fans could expect her wedding celebrations soon. Kriti did not seem pleased with this and responded in a straightforward manner. She compared the question to the kind of pressure relatives often put on people, jokingly calling it a typical “chachiji” question. She added that life is much bigger than just getting married.

When asked more directly if she plans to get married anytime soon, Kriti said she has no fixed timeline. She explained that she will take that step only when she truly feels ready and made it clear that she is not in a rush.

During the same conversation, Kriti also spoke about nepotism in the film industry. She shared that while nepotism is present in many professions, it is talked about more in Bollywood because of public attention. According to her, even though some people may get easier access due to their background, success depends on hard work and talent.

Kriti also revealed that she has lost roles many times in her career, sometimes to star kids. However, she added that competition in the industry is high, and roles can go to anyone, not just those from film families. She believes that staying consistent and improving one’s skills is the key to long term success.

She also shared a personal thought, saying that if she has children in the future and they want to enter films, they may find it easier to get opportunities because of her connections. But she stressed that even then, they would need talent to survive in the industry.

On the work front, Kriti Sanon will next be seen in Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan, making it one of the most awaited upcoming releases.

With her honest views and confident attitude, Kriti continues to inspire fans both on and off screen.

Kriti Sanon Admits She Was Replaced by Star Kids Many Times

0

Kriti Sanon has spoken openly about nepotism in the film industry and shared her personal experiences as someone who does not come from a film background. She admitted that she has lost out on several projects, sometimes to star kids, but believes that this is just one part of a much bigger picture.

Speaking at the Times Now Summit 2026, Kriti explained that every actor has a different journey. Whether someone comes from a film family or not, everyone faces their own challenges and competition. She said that when she first came to Mumbai, she sometimes felt lost because she did not have connections in the industry. However, she also mentioned that she received a warm welcome from the beginning of her career and is thankful for the opportunities she got.

Talking about nepotism, Kriti said that it exists in every field, not just in films. The reason it is discussed more in Bollywood is because the industry is always in the public eye. She believes that while star kids may find it easier to enter the industry and get initial opportunities, success is not guaranteed for anyone.

Kriti also confirmed that she has been replaced in films multiple times. She said that while sometimes those roles may have gone to star kids, it could just as easily have gone to another actor. According to her, there are many talented people competing for the same roles, so such situations are quite common.

She further explained that there are many actors today who do not come from film families and are doing very well. This, she said, proves that talent and hard work do matter in the long run. Kriti emphasized that getting a few opportunities may be easier for some, but staying successful depends on how well an actor connects with the audience.

Looking ahead, Kriti shared a personal thought. She said that if she has children in the future and they want to become actors, they will naturally have easier access because of her connections. However, she believes that even then, they will have to prove themselves through their work.

In the end, Kriti Sanon’s message is simple and clear. Opportunities may come differently for different people, but it is dedication, patience, and talent that truly decide who succeeds.
