Vidhu’s upcoming, FERRARI KI SAWAARI, directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, erstwhile assistant to Rajkumar Hirani, and starring Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani (a couple of known faces) is not expected to touch the landmark even with a barge pole. But if trade pundits and buzz in tinsel town is any indication, the June 15 release may well turn out to be a surprise success.
Says a leading trade expert, ”From the first look, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s FERRARI KI SAWARI looks like a winner. The film about a young cricket player, seems to have its heart in the right place.” He also goes on to add that though the film has lots of light moments and comedy but it also has some heartrending emotions too, as is evident from the promos.

What may also work in favour of the film is that it has dialogues by none other than the director with the Midas touch, Rajkumar Hirani. The music of FERRARI KI SAWAARI has been composed by Pritam, and the superhot ‘lavani’ number by the ‘Ooh La La’ girl, Vidya Balan, is grabbing a lot of eyeballs, and will surely usher in the audiences in hordes. And the most important factor is the moderate budget of the film, the worldwide rights of which have been acquired by EROS.
