Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on July 16, 2024. The couple shared their joyous news in a joint statement: “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!”
The actors recently posed for a maternity photoshoot, where they were seen in intimate and reflective moments, touching Richa’s baby bump. In one of the photos, Richa is lying down on Ali, both lost in thought. Richa shared the photos on her social media, expressing her gratitude for Ali and the journey they are on together. She wrote, “What can a love so pure bring forth into the world, but a beam of light? Thank you for being my partner on this incredible journey @alifazal9, through this lifetime and many more, through star lights and galaxies… thank you for getting genius @ridburman to shoot us in our natural habitat.”
Richa continued with a heartfelt message: “May we bring forth a warrior of light, a child of compassion, empathy, healing and above all love. Ameen!” She also included a Sanskrit verse that translates to, “Aum! That is infinite, and this (universe) is infinite. The infinite proceeds from the infinite. (Then) taking the infinitude of the infinite (universe), It remains as the infinite alone. Aum! Peace! Peace! Peace!” She concluded her post by explaining why she turned off comments, “Comments are off, because this is the most private thing I have posted.”
Richa and Ali met on the sets of “Fukrey” and announced their eco-friendly marriage ceremony in September 2022. They tied the knot in Lucknow on October 4. The couple shared the news about Richa’s pregnancy in a joint post with the caption “1+1=3,” adding, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.”
