During its second weekend, the movie earned around Rs. 6 crore. It later added another Rs. 2 crore during the weekdays, taking its total second week collection to Rs. 8 crore. With this, the overall India collection of the film has reached around Rs. 29.70 crore.
According to current trends, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to finish its full theatrical run at nearly Rs. 35 crore gross in India. This is considered a strong performance for a Hollywood comedy drama because films from this genre usually have a limited audience in the country. Despite that, the movie has managed to perform consistently at the box office and has emerged as a successful release.
The film’s strong run has also added to a successful phase for Hollywood movies in India. Recently released films like Project Hail Mary, Michael, and The Mummy have also reportedly performed well commercially. Interestingly, all these films were released within a short period of around one month, giving Hollywood several successful releases in a row at the Indian box office.
