Randhir Kapoor, a prominent figure in Bollywood since his debut in 1971 with “Kal Aaj Aur Kal,” is not only an accomplished actor but also the father of two successful actresses, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Despite their eventual success, Randhir has admitted that he was not initially supportive of his daughters pursuing careers in acting.

In a heartfelt confession, Randhir revealed his initial reluctance to see Karisma and Kareena enter the film industry. He candidly shared that he didn’t want them to follow in his footsteps, largely due to his concerns about the challenges and uncertainties of the profession. However, it was his wife, Babita Kapoor, who played a pivotal role in encouraging and motivating their daughters to chase their dreams.

Randhir expressed pride in Karisma and Kareena’s accomplishments, acknowledging their hard work and determination. He said, “I am very proud of my two daughters. They have made it on their own streak. Yes, the driving force was Babita, I give full credit to their mother, but they have worked very hard.”

Reflecting on his own role, Randhir admitted feeling like a “bad father” for not being more supportive in the beginning. “That way, I have been a very bad father, but then main bawla hoon, everyone knows I am a bit mad. I don’t want to work very hard, I don’t want to work in many pictures. Offers still come, but I don’t. I have earned in my life; now my kids earn much more than me, so I am content.”

Randhir also shared his contentment with his life, emphasizing that he feels no need to chase after work anymore. “We have food, clothes, and home. We have everything, so what more do I want? Why should I run around morning to night at this age?”

On the professional front, Karisma Kapoor recently appeared in Netflix’s “Murder Mubarak,” released on March 15. Kareena Kapoor Khan starred in “Crew,” which released on March 29 and featured Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The film performed exceptionally well at the box office, becoming the highest first-opening female-led film.
