Bhooth Bangla Sees Drop On Third Monday But Stays On Track For 150 Crore

Bhooth Bangla saw a drop in collections on its third Monday, earning around Rs. 1.50 crore. This was a decline of about 65 per cent compared to its third Friday, which had the advantage of being a holiday. The fall in numbers on Monday was also influenced by poll results, which kept many people occupied. However, when compared to Wednesday, the drop is around 50 per cent, which is still considered a stable hold.

After 18 days in theaters, the film has collected a total of about Rs. 138 crore nett. In the first four days of its third week alone, it brought in around Rs. 16 crore. Based on the current trend, the film is expected to finish its third week with close to Rs. 20 crore nett.

The film stars Akshay Kumar, and it is likely to cross the Rs. 150 crore mark by the end of its theatrical run. If the movie continues to perform steadily in the fourth and fifth weeks, its final total could reach around Rs. 160 crore nett.

Akshay Kumar has faced challenges at the box office after the pandemic, with several films not performing as expected. Last year showed some improvement, with three films doing reasonably well, although none reached the level of a major hit. With Bhooth Bangla, he now has a film that is performing strongly.

The film industry often benefits when actors like Akshay Kumar deliver consistent releases. While he may not always have very high grossing films, releasing multiple successful films in a year helps maintain steady box office activity. Compared to some other actors who release fewer films, his regular output plays an important role in keeping the industry active.

In India, box office performance is often driven by leading stars. Regular releases from popular actors help keep audience interest high and theaters busy.

So Bad Even Archana Didn’t Laugh! Sunil Pal Gets BRUTALLY Roasted by Samay Raina

0

The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show brought a mix of nostalgia, humour and visible tension. Comedians Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia appeared together again after their past controversy, making this reunion a talking point. Host Kapil Sharma added to the drama by inviting Sunil Pal, who has had a public feud with Samay. What followed quickly caught viewers’ attention online.

During a fun debate segment led by Sunil Grover, the panel discussed what comedy really means. The panel included familiar faces like Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda. When Krushna asked Sunil Pal to explain comedy in his own words, his answer confused the audience. He said that a “crazy community” is what comedy is. The response was met with weak applause and noticeable silence.

Kapil Sharma quickly stepped in with a witty comment, joking that an earlier cricket related joke was better. His remark got laughs and highlighted how flat Sunil Pal’s line had fallen. Samay Raina also joined in and teased Sunil Pal, saying that even Archana Puran Singh did not laugh at his joke, which made the moment even funnier for viewers.

Clips of this awkward exchange spread quickly on social media. Many people called the moment uncomfortable and hard to watch. Some viewers said they were unsure whether they were supposed to laugh, while others described the silence as louder than any joke.

The episode also showed clear tension between Samay and Sunil Pal. Their disagreement goes back to 2025, when Sunil openly criticised Samay’s style of comedy and called it offensive. Samay later responded in his show and interviews, saying some critics were only trying to gain attention during his difficult time.

Now streaming on Netflix, this episode has become a hot topic online. It blends humour with real life conflict, making it both entertaining and uncomfortable to watch at the same time.

Raja Shivaji Maintains Momentum After Strong Opening Weekend

Raja Shivaji continued its steady performance at the box office on its first Monday. The film collected around Rs. 6.50 crore gross, which is about Rs. 5.50 crore nett. This is a drop of a little over 50 per cent compared to its opening day, which is considered a strong hold for a film after a holiday release.

The performance was better in Maharashtra, where the drop was less than 50 per cent. However, the Hindi version of the film saw a bigger decline compared to the Marathi version. After four days, the total collection stands at approximately Rs. 46.75 crore gross or Rs. 38.50 crore nett.

Breaking down the numbers, the Marathi version has earned about Rs. 31.75 crore, while the Hindi version has collected around Rs. 15 crore. The Hindi version has done particularly well in Maharashtra and nearby regions.

Over its opening weekend, the film showed a consistent trend. It did not drop on Saturday even after a strong opening on Friday, and it saw some growth again on Sunday. Because of this pattern, a stable Monday performance was expected, and the film has managed to meet those expectations.

Looking ahead, the film is expected to cross Rs. 60 crore in its first week and could even reach close to Rs. 65 crore if the collections remain steady. If this happens, reaching the Rs. 100 crore mark would become very likely. This would make it one of the highest grossing films in the Marathi film industry.

There have been similar trends in the past with films based on Maratha history. Movies like Tanhaji and Chhaava performed very strongly in Maharashtra and maintained good collections over time.

How far Raja Shivaji can go will depend on its performance in the coming weeks. The second and third weeks will give a clearer idea of its long term box office success.

Box Office Collection (India)
Friday Rs. 13.25 cr.
Saturday Rs. 12.25 cr.
Sunday Rs. 14.75 cr.
Monday Rs. 6.50 cr.

Total Rs. 46.75 cr.

When Vidya Balan and Irrfan Khan shared screen for this film

0

A forgotten film from nearly 25 years ago has finally been released on YouTube, bringing back a special piece of cinema history for audiences. The Last Tenant, starring a young Irrfan Khan and Vidya Balan, was quietly released as a tribute to Irrfan Khan on his death anniversary. The film has been written and directed by Sarthak Dasgupta and produced by Neena and Sarthak Dasgupta, making its release even more emotional after such a long wait.

The film is believed to be one of Vidya Balan’s earliest acting projects and possibly her very first film after her short stint on television. It is also the only film in which Vidya Balan and Irrfan Khan shared screen space together.

The movie remained unreleased for more than two decades. While waiting to find a platform for release, Sarthak Dasgupta had lost the original footage of the film. Recently, however, he found a VHS copy, which finally made the release possible. This was also Sarthak’s first film as a director. At the time, he had just left his corporate job after completing his Engineering and MBA studies and decided to follow his passion for filmmaking. He later went on to direct projects like the Netflix film Music Teacher, 200 Halla Ho starring Amol Palekar and Rinku Rajguru, along with web series such as Dharavi Bank.

Now available for audiences across the world, The Last Tenant gives viewers a rare glimpse into the early days of two actors who later became some of the finest performers in Indian cinema. Even in its raw and unpolished form, the film shows early signs of Irrfan Khan’s subtle acting style and Vidya Balan’s powerful screen presence.

Reflecting on the film’s long journey to release, director Sarthak Dasgupta said, “I was a novice with everything to learn. I hadn’t assisted anyone. I hadn’t been to film school. There was no Amazon to order books from. No YouTube to watch tutorials on. Fuelled by pure intuition, I had embarked on a journey, still unsure if it could become a career. Releasing this film now, as a tribute to Irrfan, makes it even more emotional. It feels like revisiting a forgotten dream.”

Vidya Balan also shared her emotions about finally seeing the film released. “It feels surreal to see The Last Tenant finally reach audiences. I was just starting out, trying to find my footing…Working with Irrfan was incredibly special then and that much more now considering its the only time i got to share screen space with him. This film is a beautiful reminder of where it all began for me, and I’m glad it is being shared as a tribute to him”.

The film has been released under Sarthak Dasgupta’s company, The Salt Inc.. Within just three days of release, the film’s views on YouTube have nearly touched two lakh. For fans of Irrfan Khan, the release of The Last Tenant is not just about discovering an old film. It is also a heartfelt tribute to an actor whose work and legacy continue to leave a deep impact on audiences everywhere.

Gulshan Kumar: The Visionary Who Transformed India’s Music Industry

0

When we talk about the music that has touched millions of hearts in India, one name that always stands tall is Gulshan Kumar. He was not just a businessman, he was someone who changed the way India listened to music.

Gulshan Kumar started his journey from a very humble background. He helped his father sell fruit juice in Delhi, but he had a deep love for music. This love slowly turned into a vision. When his family started selling audio cassettes, he saw an opportunity that many others did not see at that time.

In 1983, he started his own company called Super Cassettes Industries, which later became T-Series. What he did next changed the entire music industry in India. He made music affordable. At a time when music was limited and expensive, he brought low-cost cassettes into the market so that common people could enjoy songs at home.

He understood what people wanted. He focused on devotional music, film songs, and cover versions, and made sure they reached every corner of the country. Because of him, music was no longer only for big cities or rich people. It reached small towns and ordinary homes. This created a huge boom in the Indian music industry in the 1990s.

As his company grew, Gulshan Kumar also entered film production. Films like Aashiqui became unforgettable, mainly because of their music. He showed that music could be the heart of a film and could make it successful.

What makes his journey even more inspiring is how he built all of this from almost nothing. From selling cassettes in a small shop to creating one of the biggest music companies in India, his story is a true example of vision and hard work.

Even today, his legacy continues strongly through his son Bhushan Kumar, who took charge of T-Series at a very young age and carried forward his father’s dream. Under his leadership, T-Series has not only remained a leader in India but has also become a global name, even becoming one of the biggest music platforms in the world.

Gulshan Kumar did not just build a company. He built a culture where music became a part of everyday life for millions of people. His work changed the industry, created opportunities for artists, and gave India a new way to experience music.

His journey reminds us that big dreams can come from small beginnings, and that one person’s vision can truly change an entire industry.

Had he been with us today, there is little doubt that he would have taken the music industry to even greater heights. With the way music is now growing on digital platforms across the world, his sharp understanding of what people love and his ability to reach every corner of the country could have shaped this new era in an even bigger way. He had a rare talent of staying ahead of time, and one can only imagine how he would have continued to create opportunities for artists and bring music closer to people everywhere.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Settle Lawsuit Just Before Met Gala

0

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have officially settled their legal dispute, bringing an end to a highly publicized case tied to the film It Ends With Us. The resolution comes at a very specific moment. It happened just weeks before the case was set to go to trial and only hours before the Met Gala, one of the most visible nights in entertainment. Both timing and context have made the settlement feel less like a quiet legal conclusion and more like a strategic closing chapter.

The conflict began in 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of harassment, sexual misconduct, and orchestrating a campaign to damage her reputation during and after filming. Baldoni denied the allegations and responded with a countersuit, claiming that Lively, along with Ryan Reynolds and others, had attempted to harm his career and control the narrative around the film.

As the legal battle unfolded, it pulled back the curtain on private communications within Hollywood. Text messages, emails, and internal conversations became part of the case, exposing how disputes in the industry can extend far beyond the set and into public perception.

In recent developments before the settlement, a judge dismissed a large portion of Lively’s claims, including harassment and defamation, leaving only a few issues set for trial. Baldoni’s countersuit was also dismissed. Despite that, both sides were preparing to testify, which could have turned the case into an even bigger public spectacle.

Instead, both parties chose to resolve the matter privately. In a joint statement, they described the film as something they remain proud of and emphasized a shared commitment to safer working environments. They also acknowledged that the process had been difficult and that concerns raised during the dispute deserved attention.

The story itself carries a layer of irony. The film at the center of the dispute deals with themes of domestic abuse and complicated relationships, and the real-life conflict around it mirrored some of that tension in a very different way.

For Lively, the lawsuit was framed as a response to what she described as retaliation after raising concerns about her work environment. For Baldoni, the countersuit was about defending his reputation against what he argued were damaging claims. The legal system became the battleground where both narratives collided.

Now, with the case settled, both actors are stepping away from the conflict. The decision avoids a courtroom trial that would have likely kept the controversy in headlines for months.

The timing suggests something else too. With major public appearances and industry events underway, closing this chapter allows both of them to move forward without the shadow of an ongoing legal fight.

Karan Johar Shares Heartfelt Note After First Met Gala Appearance With Moving Canvas Outfit

Karan Johar attended the Met Gala for the first time and shared a personal message about the experience. He described the moment as meaningful and reflective, saying that life can come full circle in unexpected ways.

For the event, he wore an outfit designed by Manish Malhotra. The look was inspired by the work of Raja Ravi Varma and matched the theme “Costume Art.” The outfit included hand painted elements and a long cape, and it was described as a “moving canvas.”

Karan shared his thoughts on social media, writing, “From loving cinema and costume as a wide-eyed dreamer to standing on the steps of THE Met Gala…life really does come full circle in the most unexpected ways. This moment wasn’t just about fashion for me.” He explained that the outfit was not only about appearance but also about storytelling.

He added, “About taking the legacy of Raja Ravi Varma and letting it live again… this time, not on canvas, but in motion. To representing India and our culture, our art and our storytelling on the global ‘steps’. Thirty years of friendship and collaboration with Manish Malhotra and still creating firsts together – so grateful to you and your team for this core memory.”

The Met Gala is held every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It is a fundraising event for the Costume Institute and is known as one of the most important fashion events in the world. Attendees often wear creative outfits that reflect the theme and highlight cultural ideas.

Karan Johar is a well known filmmaker in India. He made his directorial debut with the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998. Over the years, he has directed and produced several popular films, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Dwayne Johnson Turns Heads In Skirt And Tailcoat Ensemble At Met Gala 2026

Dwayne Johnson appeared at the Met Gala 2026 wearing an outfit that stood out for its design and cultural meaning. He chose a black mohair tailcoat with a bow tie and a matching pleated skirt. The outfit was created by Thom Browne.

The look was partly inspired by Polynesian culture. Johnson, who has Samoan roots through his mother, spoke about the idea behind the outfit. He shared that wearing a skirt is not unusual in his culture. He explained, “The most masculine men, not that I’m one of them, but the most masculine men wear lavalavas and skirts.”

He also described how the outfit came together. According to him, the design team first sent sketches and asked if he would be comfortable wearing a pleated skirt. He responded by connecting it to his cultural background. He said, “I was like, ‘Look, in our culture, Polynesian culture, we rock lavalavas, we rock skirts.’ The most masculine men, not that I’m one of them, but the most masculine men wear lavalavas and skirts.”

A lavalava is a traditional piece of clothing worn in many Polynesian regions. It is a rectangular piece of fabric that is wrapped around the waist like a skirt. By wearing a similar style on the red carpet, Johnson highlighted this cultural element in a modern setting.

Johnson has also spoken about masculinity in earlier public appearances. At CinemaCon 2026, while promoting Disney’s live action Moana, he shared his views. He said, “real masculinity” means empowering women. He added, “All men of all ages, we should empower and support and champion all women. That’s what real masculinity looks like.”

The 2026 Met Gala followed the theme “Fashion is Art,” encouraging creative expression through clothing. The event was co chaired by Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. Johnson’s outfit reflected both the theme and his personal background.

Simone Ashley Shines In Silver Chain Dress At Met Gala 2026

Simone Ashley appeared on the red carpet at the Met Gala 2026, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 4. The 31 year old actress, known for her role in Bridgerton, attended the event for the third time and chose a look that drew attention for its unique design.

She wore an outfit by Stella McCartney that created the illusion of nudity. The dress was designed using layers of silver chains that were carefully draped over her body. The chains gave the impression that she was covered only by metallic strands, making the outfit both bold and visually striking.

The look was styled with simple but noticeable accessories. She wore diamond earrings and bracelets, along with silver platform shoes that matched the tone of the dress. Her hairstyle included sideswept micro bangs and a tassel style updo, adding a modern touch to the overall appearance.

According to the brand, “the dress is constructed from 70% repurposed Falabella chains and threads sourced from the Stella McCartney London atelier,” shares Town and Country. This detail highlights the use of recycled materials in the design, which is a key part of the brand’s approach to fashion.

The Met Gala is known as one of the biggest events in fashion, with many well known celebrities attending each year. The 2026 event focused on the theme of Costume Art. The exhibition connected to the event “explores the ‘centrality of the dressed body’ through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met’s extensive collection.” The dress code for the night was “Fashion is Art,” encouraging creative and expressive outfits.

The event was co chaired by Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. Simone Ashley’s outfit matched the theme by presenting the human form in a creative and artistic way.
