The incident has sparked a fan war between supporters of Rupali and Gaurav. On June 15, after Akanksha’s video went viral, a section of users criticized her, calling the act ‘disgusting,’ while others defended her, explaining that cats are naturally built to survive falls from heights.
One user on X accused Rupali’s PR team of using the video to malign Gaurav Khanna and his wife, writing, “Please make it clear that how much you have been paid by @TheRupali PR team to downgrade #Gauravkhanna and his wife. You are the most cruel and disgusting for insulting #AkankshaChamola who has nothing to do with crap #Anupamaa show.”
Rupali Ganguly did not ignore this accusation. She responded with, “Why don’t you come and meet me and then you can happily ask me this Jai Mata Di.”
