Selena Gomez delivered a humorous acceptance speech. The star of the series Selena Gomez took to the stage on behalf of the entire cast as she accepted the award. In an amusing tonality in her speech, she declared, “We never win. This is so weird!” She then playfully juggled her co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin in good spirits about their absence, teasingly saying, “Marty and Steve aren’t here because, you know, they don’t really care.”

Despite the jokes, Gomez really expressed appreciation for her co-stars, whom she referred to as her mentors saying, “Well, they raised me,” acknowledging that it is their course. She went on further to appreciate the whole crew, including the writers, stating that this was beauty for everyone behind the glory the show had.

The Finish-a Famous Ensemble Cast
Gomez concluded her speech with thrilling remarks, promising to take the award back to New York for Only Murders in the Building’s fifth season. Since its premiere, the show, which has gained a huge global following, managed to prevail over stiff competition from Northeastern productions like The Bear, Abbott Elementary, Shrinking, and Hacks.

The series has a star-studded ensemble cast including Martin Short, Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, Jane Lynch, Meryl Streep, Cara Delevingne, Zach Galifianakis, and Eva Longoria, among others. Their collaborative talents and chemistry are what have stood the test of sustaining success for the show. This SAG Award was a deserved win that was earned in good measure.
