The narrative centers around Kaalidhar, played by Abhishek Bachchan, a man struggling with the tedium of life and lack of purpose. His life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Ballu, played by Daivik Baghela, a lively young lad. Their quirky friendship is the emotional fulcrum of the film since Ballu inspires Kaalidhar to find pleasure and meaning in life again through the latter’s incomplete bucket list, long abandoned.

Posting the trailer on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Abhishek Bachchan said, “Kabhi kabhi life mein second chances lene padte hai, and that’s when the most unexpected experiences and bonds are born.” He called Kaalidhar Laapata a “soul-stirring slice-of-life film” that delves into relationships, healing, and individual transformation.
Actor Zeeshan Ayyub also appears in a supporting role, lending substance to the story. The movie is another encouraging entry in Abhishek Bachchan’s changing filmography, having just appeared in the comic caper Housefull 5.
