Marvel enthusiasts, get ready! Speculation is rife that the very first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday may hit the screens in December 2025 — a whole year prior to the official release of the movie. Although Marvel Studios has not confirmed this as yet, the speculation is already generating a frenzy among fans.
As per industry insider Daniel Richtman, the teaser could even be released during Avatar: Fire and Ash, James Cameron’s much-awaited sequel, which is also scheduled to be released in 2026. If that is the case, it would be a repeat of Marvel’s earlier promotional tactic — as was the case when they dropped behind-the-scenes shots for Avengers: Infinity War in February 2017, more than a year ahead of its release.
Avengers: Doomsday, easily one of the most highly awaited titles of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), will come to the big screen on December 18, 2026. Filming having been reportedly wrapped and the film now in post-production, fan excitement is building to a fever point.

The A-list cast features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Simu Liu as Shang-Chi. Legendary thespians Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumting, and James Marsden have also been tipped to show up, and everyone was taken aback by the return of Robert Downey Jr. — not as Tony Stark, but as a shocking new character: Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom.
While the plot is kept under wraps, the movie should set the stage for Avengers: Secret Wars in December 17, 2027, the rumored epic finale to MCU Phase Six.
All teasers release updates until Marvel Studios announce officially are speculative — but precedent indicates perhaps fans don’t have to wait too long for their first look.
