DARR@THE MALL has released and as is always the case, its lead actor Jimmy Shergill has emerged unscathed, what with good feedback coming his way for yet another balanced performance.

“What I liked about this film was that it was scary due to situations, instead of gimmicks. Moreover, the graph of supernatural occurrences is very good. I felt really good working with (director) Pawan (Kripalani) as he is very intelligent guy. He doesn’t like to take chances; he wants everything to be perfect as per his thoughts. He would also convince you to such a level that as an actor, you too feel that whatever he is saying is interesting and makes sense,” says Jimmy.
However now that the film has released, Jimmy says that it would be a while before he would return to the genre.
“I don’t think I will think of doing something like this too soon. It’s a very tiring genre to work in. My experience on working with horror films, be it A FLAT or now DARR@THE MALL, is that it’s worse than doing an action. In fact, this one in particular has been five times more tiring than A FLAT,” says Jimmy.
“I pity the poor cameraman. When you are running around in outdoors then it is still fine, but then doing so in malls with all the slippery flooring and shining escalators is so tough. Then you have to cover everything through different camera angles and all. It is just not comfortable,” he says.
Well Jimmy, perhaps you can take solace from the fact that after all when it comes to your performance, good reviews have yet again come your way.
