Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar’s SUPER NANI has announced the release date of 1st May 2014, securing it after the two biggies which were clashing: Prabhudheva’s Ajay Devgn starrer ACTION JACKSON and Vipul Shah’s HOLIDAY shifted their dates.

After the success of their last outing, the bold comedy GRAND MASTI, producer – director duo Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar’s next is SUPER NANI, directed by Indra Kumar and starring the eternal diva Rekha, Shweta Kumar (Indra Kumar’s daughter), Sharman Joshi and Randhir Kapoor.

Confirms Producer Ashok Thakeria, ”We were aiming for a vacation release. Since the movie has children as its target audience, we wanted to release SUPER NANI after the exams are over. So May is an idle month. And since the two big films got pushed, we thought of taking advantage and locked May 1 for SUPER NANI.”
When quizzed about the film’s story he said, ”It’s a family entertainer and a beautiful story of a grandmother and her grandson. Rekhaji plays the title role. It’s quite a challenging role. I hope the audience, especially kids, will like it.”
