Actress Swara Bhasker, known as much for her bold performances as for her unfiltered opinions, has once again taken a strong stand — this time against casteist and classist trolling directed at her husband, politician Fahad Ahmad. The couple is currently participating in the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga, which has recently premiered on Colors TV.
Several clips from the show featuring Swara and Fahad have gone viral on social media. However, amidst the buzz, a section of internet users began trolling Fahad Ahmad, making derogatory remarks about his appearance and background.
Troll Calls Fahad “Chapri” and “Street Vendor”; Swara Hits Back
In a now widely circulated post on X (formerly Twitter), a user mocked Swara and Fahad’s participation in the reality show, stating, “After watching @ParineetiChopra taking her husband to talk shows for PR, @ReallySwara thought of doing the same. She took her Dongri ka chapri husband to a reality show. Forget PR, he looked like a street vendor from Dongri.”
This twit who describes himself both as a proud Hindu and Ambedkarite does not seem to know that Chhapri is a casteist slang.. a derogatory term used to describe a community that fixes ‘chappars’ or thatched huts. Also nothing wrong with being a street vendor from Dongri or… pic.twitter.com/SgoQlpM8E4

Swara, never one to shy away from confrontation, responded strongly. In her reply, she called out the troll’s casteist language, writing, “This twit who describes himself as both a proud Hindu and an Ambedkarite does not seem to know that ‘Chhapri’ is a casteist slang… a derogatory term used to describe a community that fixes ‘chappars’ or thatched huts.”
She added, “Also, nothing wrong with being a street vendor from Dongri or anywhere, you casteist/classist trash-brain! #CasteistAlert.”
Swara’s History of Calling Out Hate
Swara Bhasker has frequently found herself at the receiving end of online trolling, largely due to her outspoken political and social views. From criticising government policies to standing up for marginalised communities, she has consistently used her platform to speak up — even when it attracts intense backlash.
Her marriage to Fahad Ahmad, a youth leader and political activist, also invited widespread attention and mixed reactions, often laced with religious and cultural bigotry.
Swara & Fahad on Pati Patni Aur Panga
Currently, Swara and Fahad are part of the show Pati Patni Aur Panga, hosted by Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui. The show aims to offer a real and unfiltered look into celebrity relationships, highlighting both conflicts and small victories. Through games, candid conversations, and challenges, the show explores the dynamics of modern marriages — and the couple is already winning hearts for their chemistry and honesty.
Despite the trolling, Swara remains unfazed and continues to champion dignity, love, and equality — both on and off the screen.
