Adele has begun preparing for her Saturday Night Live hosting debut.
Following in Chris Rock, Bill Burr, and Issa Rae’s footsteps, the 32-year-old Grammy-winning singer will be hosting the NBC comedy show this week.
She will taking the stage alongside H.E.R as the musical performer.
Adele reportedly wore a mask and studied her script in the first behind-the-scenes look photo at Manhattan’s 30 Rockefeller Plaza as she prepares for her hosting debut.

On Sunday, Adele announced the news of her appearance on the NBC show on Instagram, when she wrote: “Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this! And also absolutely terrified!
“My first-ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things! I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand-alone moment so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right,” Adele wrote to her 151 million followers.
“But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right?”
It has been almost 12 years since she was originally musical guest on the NBC sketch show, alongside host Josh Brolin. She later returned to SNL in 2015 to serve musical guest duties alongside host Matthew McConaughey, reports Dailymail.
After Adele was announced as Saturday Night Live’s host, many fans took to their social media accounts to raise concerns about why she won’t perform again on the show.
Asked why she was only hosting, a fan said: “Wait. Adele’s in SNL, but she’s not singing? What’s even the point of that?”
Another wrote: “Why is Adele not singing when she does SNL?”
“Adele is hosting SNL next week and she’s Not singing?? Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that,” a third user said.
While a fourth was worried about the situation, tweeting: “You have Adele there and she isn’t singing?!?!”
