Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran has taken everyone by storm with its performance. The film was expected to do well due to high anticipation, but the strong content has propelled it beyond early predictions. The film hit close to the 100 crore mark in just 5 days domestically and easily crossed the 150 crore mark worldwide. Here’s a full report on its collections

Released during Diwali, this biographical action drama received positive reviews and is generating great buzz with audiences. Thanks to this positive word-of-mouth, Amaran crossed the 20 crore mark on three out of its first five days in India, maintaining a strong grip on its first Monday with double-digit earnings.

On Day 5, Amaran brought in 10.15 crores, a 52.9% drop from Sunday’s 21.55 crores. With its highly positive reviews, the drop was expected to be less than 50%, but this number still reflects strong audience acceptance. Including Monday, it now stands at 96 crores net (all languages) in India, with a gross domestic collection of 113.28 crores.

Internationally, Amaran has had a solid run, earning 47.7 crores gross in the first five days. Combining Indian and overseas collections, the worldwide box office total stands at 160.98 crores gross.

With 160.98 crores in total, Amaran has surpassed the lifetime collections of Raayan (155.92 crores) and Indian 2 (150.94 crores), becoming the third highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024. The top two spots are held by The Greatest Of All Time (464.54 crores) and Vettaiyan (258.91 crores), respectively.
