Bobby Deol, Lakshya, and Raghav Juyal will feature in The Ba*ds Of Bollywood, a new Netflix show marking Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, directorial debut. The title being unconventional has already raised some eyebrows, particularly about the three asterisks and what they signify.
Mystery Behind the Title
In his recent interview with Radio Nasha, Bobby Deol clarified that the significance of the asterisks will only be apparent once the audience watches the show. He drew parallels between it and his 1997 thriller Gupt, stating, “People realized the title only after the twist was unraveled.” Lakshya further added that the show was left untitled for so long due to its complexity. “It’s a huge, one-of-a-kind world Aryan has created, and that’s what the title is like,” he revealed.
Raghav Juyal presented a tongue-in-cheek version, explaining the asterisks were placed for looks to align “Bads” with “Bollywood.” Seasoned actor Manoj Pahwa jokingly shared he didn’t know the title of the show until its official reveal.
Star-Studded Cast and Special Appearances
The Ba*ds Of Bollywood boasts a talented cast with Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi, and Gautami Kapoor. The excitement build-up gets further fuel when Salman Khan, Karan Johar, and Ranveer Singh make guest appearances in the series.
Release Date and Plot Tease
The show arrives on September 18 on Netflix. Preelease glimpses suggest a kinetic, stylized drama with dark humor, ambition, and a satirical exploration of the madness of Bollywood. It’s sold as an underdog tale about what one will do to get to the top—and whether one can emerge from the grime on the industry’s underside.
