Krishnavataram Part 1 Holds Strong At Box Office After First Week

Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart continued to perform steadily at the box office during its first week in theatres. The film collected around Rs. 1.10 crore on Day 7, which was Thursday, taking its total first week Hindi nett collection to approximately Rs. 11.65 crore.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the movie stars Siddharth Gupta in the lead role. The film combines mythology, fantasy, romance, and drama while focusing on the Krishna avatar. According to current box office trends, the movie is expected to see a rise in collections during its second weekend, which could help it cross the Rs. 15 crore mark.

Trade observers believe the film will need to maintain a stable performance in its second week as well if it wants to continue its theatrical run for a longer period. Matching or coming close to its first week total during the second week could help the film stay strong at the box office.

The performance of Krishnavataram Part 1 has also led to comparisons with Mahavatar Narsimha, which released last year. That animated movie was based on two avatars of Lord Vishnu and had opened with Rs. 1.25 crore nett on its first day. However, the film later witnessed a major jump in collections over the weekend, earning Rs. 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs. 6.25 crore nett on Sunday. It eventually finished its Hindi run with around Rs. 170 crore nett.

Krishnavataram Part 1 has not shown the same kind of rapid growth so far, but films in the mythological genre can sometimes be unpredictable at the box office. Last year, another film titled Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate had a slow start and saw little response during its first three weeks before collections increased sharply later.

The box office collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart in Hindi currently stand at Rs. 0.40 crore from previews, Rs. 1.05 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.15 crore on Saturday, Rs. 3.20 crore on Sunday, Rs. 1.05 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.55 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1.15 crore on Wednesday, and an estimated Rs. 1.10 crore on Thursday. The total first week collection stands at Rs. 11.65 crore nett.

Hollywood pickup lines that still make hearts skip a beat

0

Some flirtations last for a moment. Others survive for decades because cinema preserved them at exactly the right angle, under exactly the right lighting, with exactly the right pause before the kiss. The best movie pickup lines are rarely just clever words. They reveal character. They create tension. They compress attraction, wit, confidence, longing, and vulnerability into a handful of unforgettable seconds. A truly great line does not merely flirt. It changes the emotional temperature of a scene.

What makes these lines endure is that they feel larger than romance itself. They carry the rhythm of their era: the elegant danger of old Hollywood, the awkward honesty of modern love stories, the playful irony of romantic comedies, and the aching sincerity of films where love arrives too late or leaves too soon.

Below are some of cinema’s most memorable flirtations…

“I hear voices, too. Voices that say, ‘If you don’t kiss her soon, you’re a chump.”
Jimmy Stewart in You Can’t Take It with You (1938) –
This line perfectly captures Jimmy Stewart’s trademark style: nervous sincerity disguised as humor. Unlike the polished masculinity of stars like Clark Gable, Stewart’s charm came from sounding like a man thinking out loud. The line is funny because it transforms hesitation into urgency. He isn’t boasting. He is confessing panic.

“No, I don’t think I will kiss you, although you need kissing badly. That’s what’s wrong with you. You should be kissed often, and by someone who knows how.”
Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind (1939) – The line remains one of the most quoted romantic exchanges in Hollywood history. Rhett Butler’s confidence is outrageous, but the line survives because Clark Gable delivers it with amused certainty instead of cruelty. It is flirtation wrapped inside a duel.

“I don’t bite, you know… unless it’s called for.”
Audrey Hepburn in Charade (1963) – Audrey Hepburn delivered flirtation differently from nearly everyone else in Hollywood. Her lines often sounded light and playful, but there was always intelligence underneath them. The line invites danger while pretending innocence. It is teasing without trying too hard.

“I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally (1989) – Unlike most pickup lines, this one arrives after years of emotional avoidance. That is why it lands so hard. It is not seductive in the traditional sense. It is vulnerable, rushed, almost desperate. Harry is no longer trying to impress Sally. He is trying not to lose her.

“You know, it’s dangerous for you to be here in the frozen foods section, because you could melt all this stuff.”
Steve Martin in My Blue Heaven (1990) – This is classic Steve Martin: absurd, corny, and somehow irresistible because he commits to it completely. A pickup line this shameless only succeeds if the speaker sounds amused by himself.

“I may be an outlaw, darling. But you’re the one stealing my heart.”
Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise (1991) – Brad Pitt’s character, J.D., became iconic less because of a single line and more because of sheer charisma. Thelma & Louise turned Pitt into a star almost overnight.

“You are everything I never knew I always wanted.”
Matthew Perry in Fools Rush In (1997) – It sounds spontaneous and emotionally clumsy, which suited Matthew Perry’s entire romantic persona.

“See, I’ve got this little problem. I’ve got a stalker… I need a cover. I need for you to pretend we’re having a scintillating conversation, and you are wildly entertained.”
Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky (2001) – It feels improvised, fast, and self-aware. The line works because it is less about seduction and more about creating an instant private world between two strangers.

“Your eyes are amazing, do you know that? You should never shut them, not even at night.”
Olivier Martinez in Unfaithful (2002) – The line is intimate enough to feel dangerous. That is the entire tension of Unfaithful: attraction arriving before morality can catch up.

“Can you keep a secret? I’m trying to organize a prison break… Are you in or are you out?”
Bill Murray in Lost in Translation (2003) – The flirtation is disguised as escape fantasy. Two lonely people pretending they are joking while quietly asking not to feel alone anymore.

“Your husband had told me you were the most beautiful woman he’d ever met. I didn’t expect the most beautiful woman I’d ever met.”
George Clooney in Intolerable Cruelty (2003) – It is outrageously polished, exactly the kind of line that only works if delivered by George Clooney in peak George Clooney form.

“Is it okay if I sit closer? How far are you going?”
Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) – The line feels ordinary, which is precisely why it is romantic. Real attraction often begins with tiny permissions.

“I couldn’t help but notice that you look a lot like my next girlfriend.”
Will Smith in Hitch (2005) – It is confident but playful enough not to feel threatening. The line knows it is a line.

“You know how they say we only use ten percent of our brains? I think we only use ten percent of our hearts.”
Owen Wilson in Wedding Crashers (2005) – The line shifts unexpectedly from comedy into sincerity, which is where Owen Wilson has always been surprisingly effective.

“I know what I want, because I have it in my hands right now. You.”
Gerard Butler in P.S. I Love You (2007) – Simple. Direct. No performance. Sometimes certainty is the most romantic thing possible.

“You’re, like, the coolest person I’ve ever met and you don’t even have to try.”
Elliot Page in Juno (2007) – It sounds exactly like how teenagers actually talk when they are trying very hard not to sound emotional.

“Look, if you had any sense, you wouldn’t take a lift from a stranger, but I’m a music lover and I’m worried about your cello.”
Peter Sarsgaard in An Education (2009) – The line sounds intelligent and charming while quietly revealing manipulation. That duality is the entire point of the film.

“Someone has to call God and tell him that one of his angels is missing.”
Vince Vaughn in Couples Retreat (2009) – It is intentionally over-the-top, delivered with the kind of exaggerated confidence Vince Vaughn specialized in.

“You give me premature ventricular contractions. You make my heart skip a beat.”
Natalie Portman in No Strings Attached (2011) – The line blends medical language with vulnerability, perfectly matching a character trying to intellectualize feelings she cannot control.

What makes these lines memorable is not merely romance. It is timing. A great cinematic pickup line arrives at the exact moment a character risks embarrassment, rejection, exposure, or heartbreak. Some are playful. Some are aching. Some are manipulative. Some are devastatingly sincere. But all of them reveal something human underneath the charm.

And perhaps that is why audiences remember them for decades.

Not because they teach us how to flirt. Because they remind us how thrilling it feels when someone finally says the thing, they were afraid to say out loud.

Michael Continues Strong Box Office Run In India With Rs. 64.75 Crore Total

Michael continued its successful run at the Indian box office by collecting Rs. 13 crore during its third week in theatres. The film saw a drop of nearly 35 per cent compared to its second week collections, but the overall hold is still considered strong for a musical biographical drama.

The movie performed steadily during the weekdays and is now expected to witness another jump in collections during its fourth weekend. At present, the total India gross collection of Michael stands at Rs. 64.75 crore. Based on current trends, the film is likely to finish its theatrical run close to the Rs. 80 crore mark.

If the film reaches that total, it will become the second highest grossing Hollywood film of 2026 in India after Project Hail Mary. Michael has also already become the biggest Hollywood musical biopic ever at the Indian box office.

The film’s success adds to a strong phase for Hollywood releases in India this year. Along with Michael, films such as Project Hail Mary and The Mummy have also emerged as successful releases. Another recent release, The Devil Wears Prada 2, is also performing well and is expected to finish its run successfully.

What makes these box office results important is that none of these films belong to the typical franchise or superhero category that usually performs strongly in India. The Indian market is generally considered more supportive of globally recognised Hollywood franchises and intellectual properties. However, these recent films have managed to attract audiences through strong word of mouth and different genres.

Industry observers believe that 2026 could become a strong year for Hollywood films in India if more unexpected successes continue in the coming months. Several major international releases are also scheduled for later this year.

The box office collections for Michael currently stand at Rs. 31.25 crore in Week One, Rs. 20.50 crore in Week Two, and Rs. 13 crore in Week Three. This takes the film’s total India gross collection to Rs. 64.75 crore after three weeks in theatres.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 Surprises Everyone With Strong India Box Office Run

The Devil Wears Prada 2, starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, has maintained a steady performance at the Indian box office. The film collected Rs. 21.70 crore during its first week in theatres and continued to attract audiences in its second week as well.

During its second weekend, the movie earned around Rs. 6 crore. It later added another Rs. 2 crore during the weekdays, taking its total second week collection to Rs. 8 crore. With this, the overall India collection of the film has reached around Rs. 29.70 crore.

According to current trends, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to finish its full theatrical run at nearly Rs. 35 crore gross in India. This is considered a strong performance for a Hollywood comedy drama because films from this genre usually have a limited audience in the country. Despite that, the movie has managed to perform consistently at the box office and has emerged as a successful release.

The film’s strong run has also added to a successful phase for Hollywood movies in India. Recently released films like Project Hail Mary, Michael, and The Mummy have also reportedly performed well commercially. Interestingly, all these films were released within a short period of around one month, giving Hollywood several successful releases in a row at the Indian box office.

The box office breakdown for The Devil Wears Prada 2 currently stands at Rs. 21.70 crore for Week 1 and Rs. 8 crore for Week 2, taking the total collection to Rs. 29.70 crore.

Apart from Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, the movie also features Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, and several others in supporting roles.

Will Smith Returns to Big-Budget Action With Prison Thriller Supermax

0

Will Smith is officially stepping back into the action-thriller spotlight. The Oscar-winning actor has signed on to star in Supermax, a high-stakes FBI thriller directed by David Gordon Green. The project has already generated major buzz after Amazon MGM Studios reportedly secured worldwide rights in a deal worth around $70 million. According to reports, Supermax follows two FBI agents investigating a murder inside the world’s most secure prison. Smith will play one of the lead agents, while casting is still underway for the female co-lead.

The screenplay comes from writers David Weil and David J. Rosen, known for projects like Hunters and Invasion.

Production is expected to begin in August, with the film heading directly to streaming instead of a theatrical release.

The project marks Smith’s first major non-franchise studio movie in years following the success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which became a significant comeback moment for the actor after the fallout from the 2022 Oscars controversy.

For Green, Supermax represents his biggest-budget feature yet. The director is best known for revitalizing the Halloween franchise and recently worked on the Amazon series Scarpetta.

Industry insiders say Amazon moved aggressively to secure the project before it could officially hit the Cannes market, signaling strong confidence not only in the film itself, but also in Smith’s enduring box office appeal.

Over the past three decades, Smith has remained one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, leading hits ranging from Men in Black and I Am Legend to Independence Day and Ali.

With Supermax, Smith appears ready to dive back into the kind of large-scale action storytelling that made him a global superstar in the first place.

LVMH Sells Marc Jacobs to WHP Global in Major Fashion Industry Deal

Luxury giant LVMH is officially selling Marc Jacobs to WHP Global, marking one of the biggest fashion acquisitions of the year. The deal, announced Thursday, will see WHP Global acquire the Marc Jacobs brand alongside partner G-III Apparel Group, the company behind brands like Donna Karan. According to reports tied to the announcement, the transaction values Marc Jacobs at roughly $1 billion. Despite the ownership change, Marc Jacobs will remain in place as founder and creative director, continuing to oversee the label’s collections, runway presentations, and overall creative direction.

In a statement, LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault praised Jacobs’ decades-long impact on the company and fashion industry.

“Marc Jacobs is a designer of rare creativity and unique vision,” Arnault said. “His impact on the world of fashion is undeniable.”

Marc Jacobs later shared his own statement on Instagram, thanking Arnault and LVMH for supporting him throughout the past 30 years.

“When I met with Yehuda Shmidman, it was abundantly clear that his respect, admiration, appreciation, and love for the house we built was genuine and sincere,” Jacobs wrote.

WHP Global chairman and CEO Yehuda Shmidman now adds Marc Jacobs to a growing portfolio that already includes brands such as Vera Wang, Rag & Bone, Express, and G-Star.

Following the acquisition, WHP Global says its portfolio will exceed $9.5 billion in annual global retail sales.

Marc Jacobs originally founded his label in 1984 alongside longtime business partner Robert Duffy. LVMH later acquired a majority stake in the company in 1997 after appointing Jacobs as the first-ever creative director of Louis Vuitton.

Over the years, the Marc Jacobs label evolved from a downtown New York fashion brand into a globally recognized luxury house. The company also launched several notable sub-labels, including Marc by Marc Jacobs in 2001 and the youth-focused Heaven by Marc Jacobs in 2020.

The sale comes during a broader period of restructuring across the luxury industry, with LVMH increasingly focusing on its largest and most profitable brands. In recent years, the company has also sold stakes or operations connected to Stella McCartney, Off-White, and DFS operations in Greater China.

Fashion insiders have long speculated that LVMH could reduce its portfolio amid slowing luxury spending worldwide, particularly among accessible luxury labels that have been more affected by recent consumer pullbacks.

Still, Marc Jacobs remains one of the most influential American designers in modern fashion. His recent runway collections have continued to attract major attention, especially after the release of the documentary Marc by Sofia, directed by longtime friend Sofia Coppola.

Jacobs also recently made a cameo appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2, further cementing his lasting influence on fashion and pop culture.

0

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar have officially announced that they have decided to separate. The couple shared a joint statement on social media confirming the news and requested people and media organisations to respect their privacy during this time.

In their statement, Mouni and Suraj said they were unhappy with the growing attention around their personal life and the rumours being spread online. They mentioned that several “fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods” were being circulated and clarified that such claims were not true. The statement said, “We note with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention into our personal lives by certain quarters of the media. We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably.”

The couple further explained that after “thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities,” they had mutually decided to move ahead separately with “respect and understanding.” They also added, “At this point, we are focused on navigating this phase thoughtfully and privately. We will endeavour to cherish our friendship in times to come.”

Mouni also posted a separate message requesting people not to spread rumours or false stories about either of them. She wrote, “Humbly requesting everyone to give us privacy and dignity and not give out any false stories about me or Suraj. Expecting all of you to give us privacy in these hard times. Humble request to all the media houses to please stop.”

The statement came after several days of online speculation about trouble in their marriage. Reports earlier claimed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to rumours about a possible split. There were also claims that Mouni had removed some pictures with Suraj from her profile, while Suraj’s Instagram account was reportedly unavailable for some time.

Mouni and Suraj reportedly met in Dubai in 2019 and kept their relationship private for a long time. They got married on January 27, 2022, in Goa in ceremonies that followed both Malayali and Bengali traditions. Over the years, Mouni continued to build her acting career with projects like Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, Gold, and Made In China.

Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse Are Expecting Their First Child

0

Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse are officially preparing for their next chapter together as parents. The couple revealed on Instagram that they are expecting their first child, shortly after making a glamorous appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, where Palvin debuted her baby bump for the first time. Palvin wore a flowing baby blue gown while posing beside Sprouse at Hotel Martinez during the festival. The model could be seen cradling her bump as photographers captured the couple’s red carpet moment.

Soon after the appearance, the pair confirmed the news with a joint Instagram post featuring photos from Cannes along with a sonogram image of their baby. In the ultrasound photo, the baby appeared to make a “rock on” hand gesture, which both parents mirrored in another picture.

The caption simply read: “🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼.”

The couple first met in 2017 after a memorable interaction at an event. According to their previous interview with Vogue, Palvin cut in front of Sprouse in line, prompting him to jokingly call her out.

“What are you, a hot-dog vendor?” she reportedly replied.

Although they spoke at the event, they did not exchange phone numbers immediately. Sprouse later sent her a direct message, but Palvin admitted she ignored him for six months before eventually reconnecting. Their first official date later took place in China.

The pair moved in together in 2019 before Sprouse proposed during a camping trip in California in September 2022.

“It was very romantic,” Palvin previously shared. “I was suspicious because he packed a shirt that was too nice for camping.”

The couple married on July 15, 2023, in Palvin’s home country of Hungary. The ceremony took place on her family’s property, which also functions as a wedding venue.

For the wedding ceremony, Palvin wore a gown by Vivienne Westwood before changing into a custom Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress for the reception. She later honored Hungarian tradition by wearing a red menyecske dress designed by Mero.

Over the years, the couple has frequently supported each other publicly, attending premieres, fashion events, and red carpets together. Sprouse has also been a regular presence at Palvin’s modeling events, including the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Now, after years of sharing milestones together, the longtime couple is preparing to welcome their first child.

James Bond Auditions Officially Begin as Amazon MGM Searches for New 007

0

The search for the next James Bond is officially underway. According to a new report, Amazon MGM Studios has quietly begun auditioning actors for the role of 007 in recent weeks as the studio prepares for the next era of the legendary spy franchise. Leading the casting search is acclaimed casting director Nina Gold, best known for her work on Game of Thrones, The Crown, and several Star Wars: The Force Awakens era Star Wars films. In a statement, Amazon MGM confirmed the process has officially started.

“The search for the next James Bond is underway,” the studio said. “While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

Gold’s involvement immediately adds prestige to the process. Her previous credits include major franchise casting decisions such as Daisy Ridley as Rey in Star Wars, alongside films like The Martian, Les Misérables, and Conclave.

The upcoming Bond film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, the filmmaker behind Dune, Arrival, and Sicario.

Producing duties will be handled by Amy Pascal and David Heyman, while Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, is writing the screenplay.

The project marks the first Bond film developed fully under Amazon MGM following the company’s takeover of the franchise’s creative future.

The new actor will succeed Daniel Craig, who played Bond across five films beginning with Casino Royale and concluding with No Time to Die.

Craig joins a legendary list of Bond actors that includes Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, and George Lazenby.

Rumors about potential successors have dominated online fan discussions for years. Names reportedly circulating include Jacob Elordi, Callum Turner, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, though no official shortlist has been revealed.

Last month at CinemaCon, Amazon MGM film chief Courtenay Valenti stressed that the studio is approaching the casting process carefully.

“We’re taking the time to do this with care and deep respect,” she said. “It is the dream of a lifetime for all of us to bring audiences this next chapter.”

For now, Bond fans are officially entering the speculation era once again as Hollywood searches for the next actor to carry cinema’s most iconic spy franchise forward.

Akshay Kumar Returns With Chaos And Comedy In Welcome To The Jungle Teaser

0

The teaser of Welcome to the Jungle, the third film in the popular Welcome series, has officially been released. The film brings back the mix of comedy, confusion, and action that the franchise is known for. Akshay Kumar leads a large cast that includes Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani in important roles.

The teaser mainly focuses on comedy and fast paced action moments. Several actors are shown hiding behind sandbags while exchanging funny dialogues and reacting to chaotic situations. One of the lines in the teaser, “Marne mein koi jaan dalta hai kya?”, has already caught viewers’ attention online. Another line used in the teaser says, “Yeh jungle toh safe hai, par yeh log? Bilkul nahi.” The makers have used these dialogues to highlight the film’s comic tone and unpredictable situations.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film continues the Welcome franchise that started with the 2007 movie Welcome. The original film became a major commercial success and reportedly earned around ₹150 crore during its run. Over the years, the franchise has remained popular among audiences because of its mix of slapstick comedy, memorable characters, and comic timing.

Welcome To The Jungle also comes at a time when Akshay Kumar is trying to continue his recent box office momentum after Bhooth Bangla. The new film appears to focus heavily on ensemble comedy with multiple actors sharing screen space in different comic situations.

The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on 26th June 2026. With a large cast, action scenes, and comedy driven storytelling, the film aims to continue the style that made the earlier Welcome movies successful with audiences over the years.
