Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been at the epicentre of a social media controversy following reports of his alleged placement on Pakistan’s terror watchlist after his comments made regarding Balochistan at an event in Saudi Arabia. However, upon deeper inspection, the reports have been found to be false and based on forged evidence.

The row started when some social media users claimed the Government of Balochistan had placed Khan’s name on Pakistan’s ‘Fourth Schedule’ under the Anti-Terrorism Act (1997). The Fourth Schedule is a roll called list kept by Pakistan’s interior ministry to keep under close watch individuals presumed to have connections with extremist or proscribed organizations. The persons listed are subject to close monitoring, restrictions on movement, and possible legal proceeding.

In support of the assertion, a claimed government notification dated October 16, 2025, went viral online. The purportedly signed document by provincial authorities indicated that Salman Khan was being listed as an “Azad Balochistan Facilitator.” The social media user Nasir Azeem originally posted it, and soon it gained momentum on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.

But queries into the allegations have shown no official confirmation from any government agency in Pakistan or reliable media outlet. No announcement has been made by Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior or the Balochistan Home Department. Experts further reported discrepancies in the viral document, indicating that it was doctored or fabricated. The language and document format in the purported notification also do not resemble official Pakistani documents of this sort.

The row appears to have originated from a footage of Salman Khan’s speech during the Riyadh Forum, in which he talked about the increasing international clout of Indian cinema. At the course of discussion—conducted alongside actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan Salman used the name Balochistan while narrating about the South Asian labor force in the Middle East that comes from diverse backgrounds.

Currently, if you produce a Hindi film and release it in Saudi Arabia, it will be a superhit… There are Balochistanis, Afghans, and Pakistanis working here,” Khan said.

While a few users misconstrued his comment as politically motivated, others stood up for it as non-sensational and factual. As of today, there is no evidence available which shows that Pakistan took any legal or administrative step against the actor, and thus the viral reports are baseless and misleading.

The Drishyam franchise is gearing up for its much-awaited third instalments in both Hindi and Malayalam, with Ajay Devgn and Mohanlal returning to their iconic roles. However, recent buzz surrounded veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who was reportedly approached to join the cast of Drishyam 3. After widespread speculation, the actor has now confirmed that he was indeed offered a role — but turned it down for personal reasons.

In a statement to Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal shared, “Yes, the makers did approach me. But I didn’t feel that the role was suitable for me. Maza nahin aaya (I didn’t have fun with the part).” The 70-year-old actor clarified that while he admired the film’s writing, he did not feel the same excitement about his character. “The script is very good. I was really impressed. But even in a compelling script, you need a role that excites you. Warna maza nahin aayega (Otherwise, it’s no fun),” he added.

Rumours had earlier suggested that Rawal had already joined the project and would begin shooting soon. However, his revelation confirms that he opted out early on. The specific role offered to him remains undisclosed, and details about his potential replacement are still under wraps.

Meanwhile, Drishyam 3 will see Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran reprising their roles, with the teaser expected to drop soon. However, reports indicate a delay due to creative and contractual issues between the Hindi and Malayalam teams. According to The Times of India, one of the adaptation clauses prevents the Hindi makers from announcing content details without approval from the original creators, Jeethu Joseph and Antony Perumbavoor.

The Malayalam producers reportedly objected to the Hindi team’s sudden release announcement for October 2, 2026, enforcing the clause to maintain coordination between both versions.

Veteran actor Satish Shah, with his impeccable comedy timing and memorable performances on screen and TV, passed away on October 25 at around 2:30 pm at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. The veteran actor was 74 years old. The legendary actor was unwell for a long time with kidney problems and had recently undergone a transplant. His manager informed India Today that the actor’s body is currently at the hospital, and the funeral will be conducted on Sunday.

Having worked for over four decades in the field, Satish Shah became one of India’s dearest actors and best comedians. He reached a wide level of fame for the very first time with the 1983 hit ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, where his brilliant comic performance and ability to get into several roles made him a household name. He performed unforgettable roles in films such as ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, and ‘Om Shanti Om’ throughout his life, where he demonstrated his phenomenal range for comedy, drama, as well as emotional roles.

On television, Shah reached legendary status with his portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in the hit sitcom ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, a role that continues to be celebrated as one of Indian television’s finest comic creations. His work in the 1984 sitcom ‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi’ also remains etched in the memories of audiences who grew up watching his effortless humor and charm.
