Mammootty is celebrating his 73rd birthday with an exciting announcement for his fans. On his special day, the first poster of his upcoming film Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse was unveiled. Directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon, the intriguing poster features Mammootty in a bathrobe, with much of the focus on a board filled with pictures and connections, possibly hinting at his role as a detective. A purse is also seen in the room, adding to the mystery surrounding the film’s title and plot.

In addition to his new project, Mammootty has been making headlines for his support of the Hema Committee report, which details the rampant sexual abuse and poor working conditions faced by women in the Malayalam film industry. He expressed his full support for the recommendations of the report, urging industry associations to come together for change.
On the awards front, Mammootty recently won his 15th Filmfare Award for his performance in Nerathu Mayakkam, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. He also received praise for his work in Kaathal: The Core. His recent films include *Turbo* (2024). He was also seen in the ZEE5 anthology series Manorathangal.
