This week’s premier release, Excel Entertainment’s Zoya Akhtar directed Ranveer-Alia starrer, GULLY BOY, may not exactly embark on a SIMMBA like start but given the positive feedback and the main protagonist’s star power, the film will embark on a good to decent start and surely find it’s audience and success.

The film is also an overseas success grossing $3.50m with £170,000 from UK and $1,300,000 from the US, till the third weekend (8-10 February).
The other release of the same week (as MANIKARNIKA), Nawazuddin’s THACKERAY added another 3 crore, thus netting 20 crore in two weeks from India. Adding the good collections of the Marathi version, THACKERAY is a creditable average fare.
