Veteran actor-filmmaker Joy Mukherjee in critical condition

Veteran actor and director Joy Mukherjee was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in a critical condition on Monday and has been put on ventilator.

Born on 24th Feb 1939, Mukherjee made his debut as an actor in 1960 with LOVE IN SHIMLA. The paternal uncle of actress Kajol and Tanisha has delivered number of hit films like SHAGIRD, LOVE IN TOKYO, BAHU BETI, ZIDDI, PHIR WOHI DIL LAYA HOON, EK MUSAFIR EK HASINA, PURASKAR, ISHAARA, HUM HINDUSTANI and CHAILLA BABU.

He later turned producer and director with HUMSAYA.
