Ali Fazal, currently enjoying the success of Mirzapur Season 3, has reportedly signed on for the lead role in the upcoming fantasy thriller series, Rakht Brahmand. The series will also feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a lead role, with Aditya Roy Kapur and Wamiqa Gabbi in key supporting roles. The project is helmed by the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj & DK, known for their work on The Family Man, Farzi, and Guns and Gulaabs, with Rahi Anil Barve, best known for the cult horror film Tumbbad, directing the six-part series.

Rakht Brahmand remains shrouded in mystery regarding its plot, but the casting and directorial team have generated significant excitement. Filming is scheduled to commence next week in Mumbai, with Ali Fazal committed to working on the series throughout August, balancing this with brief schedules for his other projects. A source close to the production mentioned, “Ali Fazal will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects.” The source further added that Ali was eager to take on this project due to its unique character and genre, something he has never done before.
