Filmmaker Advait Chandan, known for Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha, has brought his latest romantic comedy, Loveyapa, to the big screen. Starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in their theatrical debuts, the film had a modest opening but has now taken the lead over Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar at the box office.
Box Office Performance: Loveyapa vs. Badass Ravi Kumar
Released on February 7, Loveyapa started with Rs 1 crore on its first day and collected Rs 4.25 crore by the end of its first weekend. However, Monday saw a dip in earnings, with collections dropping to Rs 75 lakh, bringing its four-day total to Rs 5 crore.
On the other hand, Badass Ravi Kumar, which had a better opening than Loveyapa, has now fallen behind. The Himesh Reshammiya-starrer managed to collect only Rs 50 lakh on Day 4, failing to sustain its initial momentum.
