Sikandar Review: AR Murugadoss’s light film Sikandar, many flaws in the plot, weak story

Salman Khan’s film Sikandar is among the audience on the occasion of Eid. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film “Sikandar” is an action-drama film that tells the story of a king. This king fights to protect his people. Salman Khan plays the role of the king while Rashmika plays his wife. The film also stars Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi and Sathyaraj in important roles.

The story of the film revolves around Rajkot’s king Sanjay (Salman Khan), who is given the status of a god by his people. One day, Sanjay is seen misbehaving with a woman by Arjun (Prateik Babbar), the son of a minister. Sanjay teaches Arjun a lesson, but this results in Arjun’s father’s goons going after Sanjay.

In this battle of revenge, Sanjay loses his wife Saishree (Rashmika Mandanna), who donates her organs and saves the lives of three different people. Now, Sanjay has to avenge his wife’s death and save the three people to whom his organs have been donated.

Salman Khan plays the role of Sanjay. Salman’s heroism is visible on screen from the first scene itself. This character has been made larger than life. Salman has done well in the film but his humor and some comedy dialogues fail to make people laugh. Rashmika Mandanna has done a decent job despite having less screentime.

Sharman Joshi does not fit into his character and it seems that this character was not for him. He has nothing to do. Sanjay Kapoor is also wasted in the film. Prateek Babbar and Satyaraj are fine in their roles but Kajal Aggarwal also looks wasted in the film.

The story of the film Sikandar has become weak.

This film of AR Murugadoss can be considered the lightest film till date. There are many flaws in the plot from the beginning to the end of the story. The mistakes in the screenplay are also clearly visible. It seems that there are many scenes in the film which have been added only as filler and to increase the time.

Generally, the specialty of Salman Khan’s films is his powerful songs and music, but the music in this film has failed to impress. Pritam has given the music of Sikandar. The background sound in some scenes is fine, but that too could not make a place in the minds of the audience.

Overall, there is nothing special in the film except South Indian style action. There is a tadka of entertainment in Salman Khan’s films, but there is a lot of lack of entertainment in this film. If you are a big fan of Salman Khan and want to see him on the big screen, then you can watch the film Sikandar. 2 stars for the film
