BACKING CONTROVERSY CLEARED! Badshah says Dallas show not backed by Pakistani company

Badshah has reacted to charges leveled by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) about his forthcoming 'Un-Finished Tour' concert in Dallas on September 19, 2025.

Indian rapper and singer Badshah has reacted to charges leveled by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) about his forthcoming ‘Un-Finished Tour’ concert in Dallas on September 19, 2025. FWICE had served a notice calling for clarification on reports that the event was purportedly sponsored by a Pakistani national-owned company.

In a statement issued on August 18, Badshah explained that the Dallas concert is completely handled by an American promoter, Manish Sood of Intense Entertainment, and is not connected with any Pakistani organization. The release reiterated that Sood is the exclusive promoter, handling bookings at the venue, sponsorships, logistics, and accommodations.

“Badshah holds firm to his vision of employing music as the bridge for cultural exchange and harmony and keeping his work wholly independent of geopolitical considerations,” the official announcement stated. His legal representative also filed a detailed explanation to FWICE on August 16, upholding Badshah’s resolve for transparency and professional ethics.

Intense Entertainment also ensured that 3Sixty Shows, a US-based company headed by CEO Chloe Jones, is taking care of marketing and ground logistics. The firm asserted that everything from flights to accommodation to venue bookings has been done in complete accordance with US legislation and industry standards. They also pointed towards 3Sixty’s previous experiences with Indian talent such as Hrithik Roshan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, and Purva Mantri.

This scandal comes in the wake of increased tension between India and Pakistan, especially following the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack. Indian officials and FWICE, after the attack, directed artists to steer clear of collaborations with Pakistani citizens.

FWICE’s letter was insistent on Badshah maintaining national feelings and government policies, calling for clarification right away to avoid legal action. Badshah’s team insists that they have operated within all ethical and legal guidelines.
