Salman Khan has once again left fans in awe with his electrifying cameo in the action thriller Baby John, which was released on Christmas Day. As hinted in the film’s trailer, Salman makes an unforgettable appearance, setting social media abuzz.
The trailer teased his character, showing him fighting alongside lead actor Varun Dhawan, with his face covered by a scarf in a style reminiscent of his iconic Tiger franchise look. The trailer also dropped a hint by including his voice, where he wished viewers a “Merry Christmas.” And as soon as the film hit theaters, eager fans couldn’t contain their excitement and leaked the full cameo on X (formerly Twitter).

Salman’s much-anticipated cameo appears in the mid-credit scene of Baby John, where the protagonists—Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav are cornered by the child trafficking gang, led by Jackie Shroff’s villainous character, Nanaji. The gang has also uncovered the identity of the mysterious leader who has been aiding the agents. While his voice had been heard earlier in the film, offering tips to bust the child trafficking racket, his true identity is only revealed in the mid-credit scene.
As the scene unfolds, a masked and tied-up figure is shown, initially making it seem like just another one of the antagonists. But in a dramatic twist, the figure springs into action, fighting alongside Varun Dhawan’s character. The scarf covering the figure’s face is quickly removed, and the agent is revealed to be none other than Salman Khan, introduced as Agent Bhai Jaan. The moment is pure Salman Khan magic, as he adds his signature style, charisma, and charm to the action-packed sequence.
Salman Khan’s character doesn’t stop at just being a fierce fighter; he also brings his playful side into the cameo, flirting with Wamiqa Gabbi’s character and then breaking the fourth wall to wish the audience, “Merry Christmas and a Happy Onam,” alongside Varun Dhawan. This moment instantly became a fan-favorite, with X users praising his entry and screen presence, with many commenting on how Salman’s aura lit up the scene.
One fan on X wrote, “THIS MANNNN!!!! (fire and mindblown emojis) ONE OF THE BEST ENTRY SCENE FOR SALMAN KHAN!! THE CINEMA WILL TURN INTO A STADIUM!! (freeze emoji) GET READY FOR ‘AGENT BHAIJAAN’ (fire, volcano, and hot face emojis).” Another fan echoed the sentiment, saying, “Only south directors know how to present a superstar like Salman Khan.
This is not Salman’s first high-profile cameo this year. He also made a major impact in the post-credit scene of Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster cop drama Singham Again last month, reprising his iconic role of Inspector Chulbul Pandey from the Dabangg franchise. In that scene, he asked Ajay Devgn’s character to welcome him to his special task force.
Baby John, produced by Atlee, also stars Keerthy Suresh and is a high-octane action thriller that’s already getting plenty of attention.
