BTS group member and the youngest individual of the globally acclaimed K-pop sensation, Jungkook, is giving fans a close-up view of his solo music journey through the docu-series called “JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL – THE ORIGINAL.”. After a successful theatrical run in September, this documentary will now be on Disney+ Hotstar on December 3, 2024, at 1:30 PM IST.
About the Docu-Series
A behind-the-scenes look at Jungkook’s eight months of global promotion tour for his debut solo album, “GOLDEN,” a three-part docu-series that comes with:
Unseen interviews and candid moments during Jungkook’s creative process.
Footage detailing the 150-day journey of producing and promoting the album.

They depict the transformation of Jungkook from an icon of BTS to a solo artist, therefore describing his maturation and the challenges he welcomed during this period.
Worldwide Success
The film was initially released in cinemas around the world in 114 countries on September 21 and 22, 2024, and had already garnered a remarkable $8.18 million worldwide, with $5.61 million coming from overseas. The box office triumph further proved that Jungkook is indeed a global phenomenon and people are eagerly awaiting his solo projects.
“Starting with my first official solo track, SEVEN, and throughout the promos for my studio album, GOLDEN, I had a year filled with golden moments of happiness.”
He described “GOLDEN” as a collection of songs spanning diverse genres, offering a complete narrative of his journey as a solo artist.
Military Service
As of November 2023, Jungkook is doing his mandatory military service in South Korea. He is under the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army and will end his service by 2025, just like the rest of the members of BTS.
