Alia Bhatt’s Cannes 2026 Look Goes Viral As Fans Call Her A Real Life Princess

Alia Bhatt has once again grabbed attention on social media after sharing her latest pictures from the Cannes Film Festival. The actress impressed fans with her glamorous appearance, and the photos quickly went viral online. Within minutes of the pictures appearing on social media, fans flooded the comment section with reactions praising her style and overall look.

Sharing the photos on Instagram, Alia Bhatt wrote, “CANNES 2026 @lorealparis.” Several celebrities including Soni Razdan, Karan Johar and Sharvari also reacted to the post.

Fans were especially impressed with her appearance and styling. One social media user wrote, “Masha’Allah The princess looks so small, like a little angel, wow! My eyes are only looking at you, and your appearance was exactly what I expected.” Another commented, “Someone tell Disney their next princess already exists.”

Ahead of her Cannes appearances this year, Alia Bhatt’s fashion choices have focused on a mix of modern structured outfits and soft couture inspired looks. While leaving Hotel Martinez, the actress was seen wearing a pastel ball gown that gave a strong princess inspired appearance. The outfit featured a corset style bodice along with a large flowing skirt designed with landscape prints in shades of ivory, moss green and slate blue.

Keeping the styling simple, Alia Bhatt wore minimal jewellery, including small studs and a few rings, allowing the detailed design of the gown to stand out. She completed the look with a soft messy bun and loose hair strands, giving her overall appearance a romantic vintage inspired touch.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Alpha, which is part of the YRF spy universe. The film also stars Bobby Deol and Sharvari. She is also working on Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where she will reunite with Ranbir Kapoor. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal.

Reports have also suggested that Alia Bhatt may join the cast of Tumbbad 2. According to Pinkvilla, the actress has already started shooting for the project and will reportedly appear in an important role. A source quoted by the publication said, “Alia has a power-packed role in Tumbbad 2. While it’s a 20-day shoot, the character is extremely important and directly sets up the events of the third film. She loved the script, and it was a no-brainer for her.”

Bong Joon Ho’s First Animated Film ‘Ally’ Reveals Star-Studded Voice Cast

0

Oscar-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho is officially diving into animation and he’s bringing a huge cast with him. The director’s first animated feature film, Ally, has revealed an impressive voice lineup that includes Bradley Cooper, Ayo Edebiri, Dave Bautista, Finn Wolfhard, Alex Jayne Go, Rachel House and Werner Herzog. The film has been in development since 2019 and marks Bong’s first major animated project following the global success of Parasite.

According to the official synopsis, Ally follows a curious piglet squid living deep in the South Pacific Ocean. Dreaming of one day seeing sunlight and becoming the star of a wildlife documentary, Ally’s life changes after a mysterious aircraft crashes into the ocean, forcing her into an unexpected adventure alongside a group of unusual companions.

The screenplay was co-written by Bong and filmmaker Jason Yu.

Production company Neon has acquired North American distribution rights, continuing its successful partnership with Bong after distributing Parasite.

The film is being co-financed and distributed internationally by CJ ENM, Penture Invest and Pathé.

Seo Woo-sik is producing the project, which is expected to be completed during the first half of 2027 before releasing later that year.

While plot details remain limited, the casting alone has already sparked excitement online, especially with Bong blending Hollywood stars, indie favorites and acclaimed international talent into one animated feature.

Fans are particularly intrigued by Herzog’s involvement, given the legendary filmmaker’s famously distinctive voice and storytelling style.

After genre-defining films like Snowpiercer, Okja and Parasite, many are already expecting Ally to become one of the most anticipated animated releases of 2027.

‘The Pitt’ Star Reveals Noah Wyle Jumped Into Action After On-Set Injury

0

Noah Wyle apparently never fully leaves doctor mode behind. The actor, who stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch on The Pitt, reportedly sprang into action after co-star Laëtitia Hollard accidentally injured herself while filming the series. Speaking on Warner Bros. TV’s A Lot More podcast, Hollard shared the surprisingly intense moment that left her elbow “covered with blood” during what was supposed to be a very simple scene. The actress explained she was filming a sequence inside the show’s busy control hub set while portraying shy nursing graduate Emma Nolan.

During the scene, Emma had to squeeze past Wyle’s character to grab a notebook. Hollard said she repeatedly bumped her elbow against part of the set while trying to stay in character.

“At first I brushed it off,” she explained. But after another take, she suddenly noticed blood on the counter nearby.

“I literally said, ‘Who left fake blood here?’” Hollard recalled.

That’s when Wyle quickly realized the blood was actually hers.

“He goes, ‘I think you nicked yourself,’” she said. “I looked at my elbow, and it was covered with blood.”

According to Hollard, Wyle immediately reassured her and calmly took control of the situation.

“Noah was like, ‘Don’t worry, this is the best place for this to happen,’” she joked, referencing the fact that the series revolves around emergency medicine.

Hollard said Wyle then guided her away from the set chaos and personally began helping treat the injury.

“He brought me to a corner, brought out gauze and disinfectant,” she said. “I was like, ‘Wait, I’m in The Pitt right now.’”

The actress laughed while remembering how surreal the situation felt, especially since Wyle has spent decades playing doctors on television dating back to ER.

Eventually, an actual nurse on set arrived to take over treatment, at which point Wyle reportedly joked, “Not me. I’m pretending.”

The behind-the-scenes story has quickly become another fan-favorite moment connected to the hit HBO Max drama, which has earned praise for its realism and intense hospital atmosphere.

Since premiering in 2025, The Pitt has become one of HBO Max’s biggest breakout successes and has already been renewed for another season.

Fans online have also praised Wyle for the story, joking that after playing doctors for so many years, he practically became one in real life.

Ranveer Singh and The Immortals of Meluha: What is confirmed and why the book still matters

0

The recent buzz around Ranveer Singh and The Immortals of Meluha created massive excitement among movie lovers and fans of mythology. Reports claimed that Ranveer Singh had bought the rights to Amish Tripathi’s bestselling novel under his production house, Maa Kasam Film, and was planning a grand trilogy with Birla Studios. Many fans were thrilled at the thought of seeing Lord Shiva’s journey on the big screen with Ranveer in the lead role.

But the truth is slightly different. Author Amish Tripathi has now officially clarified that the reports are not true. He stated that the rights to the Shiva Trilogy are still with him and that no deal has been signed with Ranveer Singh or anyone else. While he praised Ranveer and called himself a fan of the actor, he made it clear that the project has not been finalised yet. This clarification is important because entertainment news often spreads quickly on social media before official confirmation arrives.

Even though the reports turned out to be unconfirmed, the excitement around The Immortals of Meluha shows how deeply the book has connected with Indian readers over the years.

The Immortals of Meluha is the first book in the famous Shiva Trilogy written by Amish Tripathi. The story reimagines Lord Shiva not as a god from the beginning, but as a human being who rises through courage, leadership, and destiny to become the Mahadev worshipped by millions. The novel is set in the ancient land of Meluha, a highly advanced and peaceful society inspired by the Indus Valley Civilization.

The book became a publishing phenomenon after its release in 2010. It introduced mythology to young Indian readers in a fresh and modern way. Amish Tripathi mixed history, fantasy, action, and philosophy to create a world that felt both ancient and relatable. The trilogy later became one of the biggest successes in Indian publishing history.

The popularity of The Immortals of Meluha also changed the Indian book market. It proved that Indian mythology could become mainstream entertainment for young audiences. After its success, many writers and filmmakers began exploring stories based on Indian history and mythology. In many ways, the book helped create a new wave of mythological fiction in India.

Interestingly, this is not the first time filmmakers have shown interest in adapting the novel. Earlier, filmmaker Karan Johar had acquired the film rights through Dharma Productions, but the project never moved forward. Later, reports suggested that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also interested in the property. There were also discussions about adapting the story as a web series. ([Wikipedia][3])

This latest episode also highlights how quickly entertainment rumours can become headlines. In today’s digital age, one report gets copied across dozens of websites within minutes, making speculation appear like confirmed news. That is why official statements from creators and studios matter so much.

Whether or not Ranveer Singh eventually becomes part of The Immortals of Meluha in the future, one thing is certain. The story still holds enormous cinematic potential. Its grand world, powerful characters, and emotional journey continue to inspire readers across generations. For many fans, seeing Shiva’s journey on the big screen remains a dream waiting to happen.

Raja Shivaji Creates History As Film Heads Towards Rs. 100 Crore Mark

Raja Shivaji continued its solid performance at the box office during its second week. The movie collected Rs. 2.50 crore on its second Monday, which was a 43 per cent drop compared to Friday collections. Compared to its first Monday, the drop was around 65 per cent. Even with the decline, the film managed to collect Rs. 21.25 crore in the first four days of its second week.

The movie is expected to finish its second week with collections of around Rs. 28 crore. Its current total stands at Rs. 82.75 crore. By today, the film is likely to cross the Rs. 85 crore mark and is expected to end the week with around Rs. 89 to Rs. 90 crore.

The film is now heading towards a major milestone for Marathi cinema. Raja Shivaji is expected to cross Rs. 100 crore during its third week in theatres. If that happens, it will become the first Marathi film to achieve that number. The earlier record holders were Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva, both of which earned around Rs. 90 crore.

Unlike those films, Raja Shivaji also has a Hindi dubbed version, which has helped the movie collect a good amount outside Maharashtra. Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva mainly depended on audiences from Maharashtra and were released only in Marathi.

There was also an expectation that Raja Shivaji could challenge much bigger box office numbers. Comparisons were being made with Tanhaji and Chhaava, both based on figures from the Maratha Empire. Tanhaji had earned around Rs. 175 crore in Maharashtra in 2020, which would be more than Rs. 250 crore after inflation adjustment today. Chhaava later crossed Rs. 300 crore.

Since Raja Shivaji is based on the founder and leader of the Maratha Empire and was made in Marathi, expectations were very high. While the film has performed well and is setting new records for Marathi cinema, it is no longer expected to reach the level achieved by Tanhaji and Chhaava.

The Box Office Collections for Raja Shivaji in India are as follows:

Friday: Rs. 13.25 cr.
Saturday: Rs. 12.25 cr.
Sunday: Rs. 14.75 cr.
Monday: Rs. 6.50 cr.
Tuesday: Rs. 5.50 cr.
Wednesday: Rs. 5.00 cr.
Thursday: Rs. 4.25 cr.

2nd Friday: Rs. 4.00 cr.
2nd Saturday: Rs. 6.75 cr.
2nd Sunday: Rs. 8.00 cr.
2nd Monday: Rs. 2.50 cr. (est.)

Total: Rs. 82.75 cr.

Bhooth Bangla Continues Strong Box Office Run As Film Crosses Rs. 151 Crore

Bhooth Bangla continued its steady run at the Indian box office in its fourth week. The horror comedy collected Rs. 1.25 crore on its fourth Monday. The film recorded only a 15 per cent drop compared to its fourth Friday collections, showing that it is still attracting audiences even after nearly a month in theatres.

In the first four days of the fourth week, the movie collected Rs. 9.25 crore. The film is now expected to close the week with around Rs. 12 crore to Rs. 14 crore gross collections. With this, its total collection is likely to touch the Rs. 155 crore mark soon.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla is expected to slow down from its fifth weekend because of the release of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do in cinemas. Even so, the film is still expected to finish its overall theatrical run with around Rs. 160 crore nett in India. There is also a possibility of the movie reaching the Rs. 165 crore mark if it continues to hold well over the coming days.

At the moment, crossing Housefull 5’s Rs. 168 crore total looks difficult, though not completely impossible. The film has already recorded strong audience turnout with footfalls estimated at around Rs. 85 lakh so far. Trade estimates suggest the final footfall count could finish in the range of Rs. 90 lakh to Rs. 95 lakh.

For Akshay Kumar, the success of Bhooth Bangla comes after a difficult period at the box office following the pandemic. Several of his films underperformed in recent years. Last year showed some improvement, with three films performing decently, although none of them reached HIT status. Bhooth Bangla has now become his first clear HIT in recent times.

Akshay Kumar is also known for maintaining a regular release schedule with multiple films every year. Trade circles often believe that frequent releases from major stars help keep the box office active throughout the year. Compared to many actors who now take longer gaps between projects, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn remain among the few leading stars with a consistently high output.

The Box Office Collections for Bhooth Bangla in India are as follows:

Week One: Rs. 80.25 cr.
Week Two: Rs. 40.75 cr.
Week Three: Rs. 21.00 cr.

4th Friday: Rs. 1.50 cr.
4th Saturday: Rs. 2.75 cr.
4th Sunday: Rs. 3.75 cr.
4th Monday: Rs. 1.25 cr. (est.)

Total: Rs. 151.25 cr.

Krishnavataram Part 1 Holds Steady On Monday But Faces Tough Box Office Test Ahead

Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart managed to hold reasonably well on its first Monday at the Hindi box office. The mythological fantasy drama collected around Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.10 crore on Monday. While the hold is decent in general, the film needed a stronger trend after its weekend growth. The Monday number dropped closer to Friday levels instead of staying near the Saturday collections.

After the first Monday, the film’s total Hindi box office collection reached Rs. 7.75 crore nett. Apart from Hindi, the movie also released in Telugu and Tamil dubbed versions, which have contributed around Rs. 65 lakh nett so far. The film is now expected to end its first week with around Rs. 10 crore nett in Hindi.

One important factor working in the film’s favour is that it does not have any major star leading the project. Despite that, the movie has managed a fair performance in limited release conditions. Krishnavataram Part 1 released on around 700 screens in the Hindi market, which is comparatively low for a film of this scale and genre.

The film has also drawn comparisons with last year’s Mahavatar Narsimha, an animated movie based on avatars of Lord Vishnu. That film opened with Rs. 1.25 crore nett on its first day and then saw massive growth over the weekend, collecting Rs. 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs. 6.25 crore nett on Sunday. It eventually went on to collect Rs. 170 crore nett in Hindi.

Krishnavataram Part 1 is based on the Krishna avatar and follows a live action format instead of animation. However, its weekend trend has not been as strong as Mahavatar Narsimha so far. Even then, trade observers believe mythological films can be difficult to predict because audience response can change suddenly over time.

Last year, Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate had a very slow start and showed almost no movement during its first three weeks before suddenly picking up strongly later.

For now, the main target for Krishnavataram Part 1 will be to maintain steady weekday collections closer to Saturday levels and show growth again during the second weekend.

The Box Office Collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hindi) in India are as follows:

Previews: Rs. 0.40 cr.
Friday: Rs. 1.00 cr.
Saturday: Rs. 2.10 cr.
Sunday: Rs. 3.25 cr.
Monday: Rs. 1.00 cr. (est.)

Total: Rs. 7.75 cr.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Movie Review | Witty, Glossy & Funny

0

Director Mudassar Aziz seems to have found his comfort zone and he keeps returning to it with every few films. From Dulha Mil Gaya to Happy Bhag Jayegi, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Khel Khel Mein, Mere Husband Ki Biwi and now Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, his cinema largely revolves around relationships, misunderstandings and comedy created out of messy situations. Even the titles now feel like cousins from the same family.

This time the confusion is bigger and noisier. One lie leads to another and before you realise it, every character is running into someone else’s mess. The film begins with a simple setup. Prajapati Pandey (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a sincere forest officer living a peaceful married life with his journalist wife Aparna Pandey (Wamiqa Gabbi). But things go completely off track when he agrees to pretend to be the boyfriend of his former college junior Chanchal Kumari (Sara Ali Khan) in order to help her reunite with her lover and save her from the wrath of politician Gajraj Tiwari (Tigmanshu Dhulia). From there the film becomes one giant web of lies, suspicion, police trouble, political pressure and awkward explanations. Aparna’s actions add more fuel to the fire and even her friend Nilufer gets pulled into the madness.

The film is clearly aiming to be an out and out situational comedy. Some scenes genuinely work because of the timing and confusion. A few moments bring proper laughter, especially when characters are desperately trying to hide the truth from each other. But there are also many portions where the writing becomes too loud and too filmi. The witty moments get diluted because the screenplay keeps adding unnecessary masala. At times it feels like the film does not trust its own simple humour and keeps forcing extra drama into the story.

There are also comic scenes involving religious references and identity-based jokes that could easily have been avoided. Using caste or religion to create awkward humour feels lazy and outdated. One particular track where being called “low caste” or pointing out that someone is Muslim becomes part of the narrative and leaves an unpleasant taste. Comedy works best when it comes naturally from characters and situations, not from punching down at communities.

Ayushmann Khurrana holds the film together. He looks comfortable in this world of chaos and confusion and manages to make even exaggerated scenes believable. His expressions and helpless reactions carry many scenes that otherwise would have fallen flat. The three female leads mostly follow the demands of the script, though they fit well into the madness around them. The real surprise comes from Ayesha Raza Mishra as Chanchal’s buaji. She completely steals attention in the second half. Her excitement over her niece’s possible engagement and her constant involvement in family matters become some of the funnier moments in the film.

The humour and misunderstandings often remind you of comedies where one confusion keeps colliding with another till everything explodes together. Younger audiences may enjoy this style because the film moves quickly and keeps throwing characters into awkward situations. It is not particularly fresh or unpredictable, but it works as a theatrical watch.

Another thing that stands out is Bollywood’s growing obsession with reusing 90s Bollywood songs in films. Mudassar Aziz also joins that trend here, adding familiar old tracks in different situations almost like emotional shortcuts for nostalgia.

In the end, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is a glossy, easygoing entertainer that banks heavily on confusion, chaos and relationship drama. It has its genuinely funny stretches, a committed lead performance from Ayushmann Khurrana and a few enjoyable supporting characters that keep the film moving at a brisk pace. The writing does slip into familiar territory at places and some portions feel louder than needed, but the film works best when watched as a lighthearted situational comedy rather than something to be taken too seriously. For audiences who enjoy witty marital dramas filled with misunderstandings, lies and nonstop confusion, this one offers enough laughs and filmi chaos to make for an enjoyable theatrical watch.

Movie: Pati Patni Aur Woh Do
Directed by: Mudassar Aziz
Featuring: Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rakul Preet Singh, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Tigmanshu Dhulia
Theatrical Release Date: 15 May, 2026

Michael Continues Strong Box Office Run As Film Nears Rs. 65 Crore In India

Michael continued to perform well at the Indian box office during its third week. The biographical drama based on Michael Jackson added Rs. 1 crore on its third Monday. The film recorded a 40 per cent drop from its previous Friday collections, which is considered a steady hold for a movie in its third week.

In the first four days of the third week, the film collected around Rs. 10 crore. The movie is now expected to finish the week with collections in the range of Rs. 13 crore to Rs. 14 crore. With this, its total collection in India is likely to touch the Rs. 65 crore gross mark by the end of the week.

The Jaafar Jackson starrer is now expected to finish its entire theatrical run with around Rs. 75 crore gross in India. The film has already emerged as a HIT venture and has become the third successful Hollywood release in India this year after Project Hail Mary and Lee Cronin’s The Mummy.

Interestingly, all three Hollywood films found success within a short period of around one month. This trend has surprised many trade observers because these films do not belong to the usual type of Hollywood franchises or major intellectual properties that generally perform well in India.

Another Hollywood release, The Devil Wears Prada 2, is also doing good business at the box office. While the film may not reach HIT status, it is still shaping up to be a successful release.

The strong performance of these films is important because the Indian market is usually dominated by large Hollywood franchises and established brands. The recent success of films like Michael, Project Hail Mary and The Mummy shows that audiences are also supporting content driven films outside major franchises.

Several big Hollywood franchise films are scheduled to release later this year. Because of the strong performance of recent releases, 2026 is now expected to be a strong year for Hollywood films in India, especially if more unexpected successes continue to arrive in theatres.

The Box Office Collections for Michael in India are as follows:

Week One: Rs. 31.25 cr.
Week Two: Rs. 20.50 cr.

3rd Friday: Rs. 1.75 cr.
3rd Saturday: Rs. 3.50 cr.
3rd Sunday: Rs. 3.75 cr.
3rd Monday: Rs. 1.00 cr. (est.)

Total: Rs. 61.75 cr.
