Rakul Preet Singh Spills the Truth About Cheating and Forgiveness

0

Rakul Preet Singh recently shared her thoughts on relationships and infidelity, following her husband Jackky Bhagnani’s controversial remark calling their marriage a “situationship.” The comment had taken the internet by storm, with many fans confused about what he meant. Now, Rakul is setting the record straight with her candid perspective.

The actor appeared on the YouTube show The Bombay Journey with Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana. When asked whether cheating can ever be acceptable, Rakul responded with a firm no. Sara added that while a person should apologize, cheating is still not acceptable. Ayushmann offered a slightly different view, suggesting that if someone genuinely says sorry, mistakes can be forgiven because life is long.

Rakul explained that it depends on the situation and the extent of the mistake. She clarified that she does not personally condone cheating in her own relationship but acknowledged that sometimes people make a slip. She said, “Life is too long not to forgive a one-time mistake,” emphasizing that forgiveness is possible, but it does not apply to her marriage personally.

The conversation also explored the idea of forgetting versus forgiving. Sara mentioned that she might forgive but not forget, while Rakul said that if someone truly forgives, they will eventually have to let go of the memory as well. Ayushmann echoed this sentiment, pointing out that humans are bound to make mistakes, but genuine apology and love can allow a relationship to move forward.

This discussion comes just days after Jackky Bhagnani created a buzz by calling his marriage a “situationship.” In an interview on Zingabad, he said that while they are married and exclusive to each other, their relationship feels more flexible, and they can talk openly about anything. The remark led to playful interactions between the couple, with Rakul jokingly scolding Jackky in a video, while he laughed and apologized.

Rakul was last seen in the film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do with Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The movie is a spiritual sequel to the earlier Pati Patni Aur Woh and is a remake of the 1978 classic. According to Hindustan Times, the film delivers laughs and energetic performances but fell short of expectations at the box office after its release on May 15.

Yash Says Toxic Will Show Powerful Women In A Different Way

0

Actor Yash recently spoke about his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups during an interview with Variety. The actor shared details about why he chose filmmaker Geethu Mohandas to direct the project and also explained the vision behind the movie.

According to Yash, Toxic is set during Goa’s Portuguese period between 1947 and 1961. The story focuses on emotions, relationships and power struggles during that time. In the film, Yash plays the character Raya. The cast also includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi in important roles.

Talking about the film, Yash said he was interested in Geethu Mohandas’ style of storytelling and her approach towards characters and emotions. He also appreciated the way the movie presents its women characters. The actor mentioned that Toxic has a strong female perspective and features women with powerful and bold personalities.

The film has been shot in Kannada and English at the same time. Yash revealed that the production involved technicians and professionals from Hollywood as well. The makers are aiming to give the movie an international presentation and release strategy.

Toxic was earlier expected to release on June 4, but the release has now been delayed. According to Yash, the team decided to take more time to complete the film properly and prepare it for a wider worldwide release. He explained that the makers wanted to follow a release model similar to large scale international films, where enough time is given for post production, planning and marketing before launch.

The film is now expected to release globally in 2026. Reports suggest that the team is focusing on delivering a polished final product that can connect with audiences in different countries.

Toxic has already generated attention because of its unique setting, star cast and large scale production. The combination of Yash, Geethu Mohandas and actors like Nayanthara, Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi has added to the curiosity around the project.

The movie also marks one of Yash’s major projects after the success of the KGF franchise. With Toxic, the actor appears to be moving towards a different style of storytelling that mixes action, emotions and historical background elements in a larger cinematic setting.

Aishwarya Rai and Cannes: Why her Red Carpet presence matters

For more than two decades now, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Cannes have almost become inseparable in the public imagination. Every year when the Cannes Film Festival begins, one of the first questions in India is not about the films or the jury but whether Aishwarya will walk the red carpet. That itself says something about the kind of presence she has built over the years.

Aishwarya first attended Cannes in 2002 for the screening of Devdas. She arrived in a yellow saree with Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali at a time when Indian actors were still relatively rare on global red carpets. What stood out was that she did not try to blend into Western celebrity culture. She carried her Indian identity very openly through traditional clothing, jewellery and styling. For many Indian viewers, it felt like representation rather than performance.

Since then, she has attended Cannes more than 20 times, making her one of the most regular Indian faces at the festival. Over the years, she has appeared as an actress, jury member and global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. Her relationship with Cannes slowly moved beyond cinema and became part of fashion culture, luxury branding and celebrity spectacle.

What makes Aishwarya’s Cannes journey interesting is that it mirrors the rise of Bollywood on the global stage. In the early 2000s, Indian cinema was still fighting for international visibility. Cannes was seen as distant and elite. Aishwarya helped close that distance. She became familiar to international photographers and fashion magazines at a time when very few Indian celebrities had that kind of visibility abroad.

Her appearances also changed with time. In the beginning, she leaned heavily into Indian silhouettes and traditional looks. Later came the dramatic gowns, couture labels and experimental makeup choices that made headlines every year. Some of those looks were celebrated and some were criticised, but they were almost never ignored. That ability to remain culturally relevant for such a long period is rare in celebrity culture.

What is also important is that Aishwarya made Cannes feel mainstream in India. Today many Indian actors, influencers and fashion personalities attend the festival, but there was a time when Cannes coverage in Indian media revolved almost entirely around her. She helped turn the red carpet into a moment of national attention.

This year has been especially interesting because her absence during the opening days of Cannes immediately became a major talking point online. Reports and social media discussions questioned whether she would attend at all. The conversation became bigger because audiences are so used to seeing her there every year. Even people who no longer closely follow Bollywood noticed her absence.

There has also been speculation this year around changing dynamics at Cannes, especially with newer stars and brand ambassadors receiving more visibility. In many ways, the discussion around Aishwarya this year is not only about one celebrity attending a festival. It reflects a larger transition in celebrity culture itself. Cannes today is no longer only about cinema stars. It is increasingly shaped by influencers, luxury campaigns and digital visibility.

Yet despite all those changes, Aishwarya still occupies a unique space. For many people, she represents the classic era of Cannes glamour before social media transformed red carpets into content factories. Her appearances carried a sense of occasion because they felt tied to stardom rather than constant online visibility.

That is perhaps why her Cannes presence still matters. It is not only about fashion or photographs anymore. It is about continuity. She represents a generation of Indian celebrity culture that introduced itself to the world slowly, carefully and with a certain mystery that is now becoming rare.

Harsh Chhaya Opens Up About Divorce From Shefali Shah After Years

0

Actor Harsh Chhaya has once again spoken openly about his divorce from actress Shefali Shah. The two actors were married in 1994 after working together on the television show Hasratein and separated in 2000. Over the years, both Harsh and Shefali have described the breakup as a difficult phase in their lives.

In a recent interview with Lallantop, Harsh shared his thoughts on divorce, emotional healing and how he dealt with the separation. According to him, every divorce is different and cannot be judged in the same way.

“It is a very personal case to case kind of thing, our case was very clear, I could see that the relationship was hitting a dead end. When I was told, ‘I cannot stay with you anymore’; 8 to 9 months before that, I knew this was coming. I was prepared. For me, even though I know what is happening, at that moment I don’t let it affect me mentally, so I focus on work, on myself, because I left Delhi and came to Mumbai for this. Personally, how one deals with it depends on them. I fortunately come from a space where I don’t get shaken easily,” he said.

Harsh also explained that people should not pretend to be emotionally strong during painful situations. He said it is important to accept sadness and stress instead of hiding emotions.

“You need to try and stay sane when a situation like this comes; if you are uncomfortable, live with it, don’t try to show yourself as strong. I lived with it for 5 to 6 months, regretted, shouted, etc. One day, I saw that you are under stress, everyone around you is willing to listen to your story, and share their views. Once I spoke to someone, we discussed each other’s issues, and later we went on a date; it happened a few times and I made it a formula. I went on multiple dates over 2 to 3 months. It takes time, you don’t have to show your bravery, rather show what you are feeling,” he added.

The actor also said that divorce should not always be viewed negatively if a relationship has already stopped working.

“Two people can’t stay together 24/7; I cannot live with my clone for 365 days. For me, divorce is not a big deal; in fact, if it has to happen, it should happen sooner rather than later, so the relationship is not dragged. When we decided, we got our application back dated, declaring that we had been living separately for six months. We acted on it quickly,” he said.

In earlier interviews too, both actors had reflected on the separation. Shefali Shah had spoken about giving years to the relationship before realising it was healthier to move on. After the divorce, Shefali married filmmaker Vipul Shah in 2000, while Harsh Chhaya married Suneeta Sengupta in 2003.

On the work front, Harsh was recently seen in Undekhi Season 4.

Rajkumar Hirani’s First Web Series Pritam And Pedro Gets Release Date

0

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is set to make his streaming debut with the upcoming series Pritam and Pedro. Known for films that combine humour, emotions and human stories, Hirani will now bring his storytelling style to the long format digital space for the first time.

The makers recently unveiled the first poster of the show, which has already created curiosity among viewers. The poster features an abandoned ATM placed on a beach with two men standing beside it. While the image gives very little information about the actual story, it hints at a quirky and unusual setting.

Pritam and Pedro is directed by filmmaker Avinash Arun. According to the makers, the series will explore an unpredictable world while keeping most details about the plot hidden for now. The show is scheduled to premiere on July 3.

Talking about the project, Rajkumar Hirani shared that he has always enjoyed stories where completely different people are forced to come together and deal with unexpected situations. Speaking about the series, he said, “ I’ve always enjoyed stories where very different people are forced to come together and navigate life in unexpected ways. Pritam and Pedro have a lot of humour, warmth and madness in that sense. The long format space gave us the opportunity to spend more time with the characters and really explore their journey. It’s been an exciting experience, and I’m happy to partner with JioHotstar for it.”

The series marks an important step for Hirani, who is known for successful films such as Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots, PK and Sanju. His move into the OTT space has attracted attention among audiences who have followed his work over the years.

At the same time, reports about another possible Rajkumar Hirani project have also been circulating. Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor had previously worked together on Sanju in 2018, which became a blockbuster at the box office. Since then, fans have been waiting for the duo to collaborate again.

According to recent reports, Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor are expected to reunite for a biopic based on an athlete. However, reports suggest that the project has been delayed and may now begin only in 2027. An official confirmation regarding the film is still awaited.

Raja Shivaji Set To Create History As First Marathi Film To Cross Rs. 100 Crore

Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji is continuing its strong performance at the box office even in its third week. The film collected an estimated Rs. 1.25 crore on its 3rd Monday. This was around a 20 per cent drop compared to its 3rd Friday collection, showing that the movie is still managing to attract audiences to theatres.

With the latest collection, the total box office gross of Raja Shivaji has reached Rs. 99.35 crore in India. The movie is now very close to entering the Rs. 100 crore gross club and is expected to achieve this milestone by the end of the day. This will be a major record for Marathi cinema because no Marathi film has crossed the three digit mark before.

The Riteish Deshmukh starrer has already become the highest grossing Marathi film by going past the collections of Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva. However, there is an important difference in the performance of these films. Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva earned most of their collections from Maharashtra, while Raja Shivaji has received a good share of business from outside the state as well.

Reports suggest that Raja Shivaji may still remain behind Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva in Maharashtra collections alone. Maharashtra is considered the core market for Marathi films, and expectations were very high for Raja Shivaji in the state. Films like Tanhaji and Chhaava had performed exceptionally well in Maharashtra, with Tanhaji adjusting to nearly Rs. 250 crore in today’s value and Chhaava crossing Rs. 300 crore. Raja Shivaji is not expected to touch Rs. 100 crore from Maharashtra alone.

The box office collections for Raja Shivaji in India are as follows:

Week 1 – Rs. 61.75 crore
Week 2 – Rs. 28.00 crore

3rd Friday – Rs. 1.60 crore
3rd Saturday – Rs. 3.00 crore
3rd Sunday – Rs. 3.75 crore
3rd Monday – Rs. 1.25 crore (est.)

Total – Rs. 99.35 crore

Suriya’s Karuppu Becomes His Biggest Box Office Success In Years

Suriya’s latest film Karuppu continued its strong performance at the Indian box office with an excellent hold on Monday. The movie collected around Rs. 16.25 crore on its first Monday, showing only a 15 per cent drop from its opening day collection. The film performed even better in Tamil Nadu, where it earned around Rs. 11 crore on Monday, which was only an 8 per cent drop from Day 1.

With this performance, the total four day collection of Karuppu in India has reached around Rs. 94 crore gross. Out of this, Tamil Nadu alone has contributed around Rs. 58 crore, making it the film’s strongest market so far.

The movie is now very close to achieving two major milestones for Suriya’s career. Karuppu is only Rs. 2 crore away from becoming the actor’s highest grossing film in India. It is also just Rs. 6 crore short of becoming Suriya’s first film to cross Rs. 100 crore gross in India. Both milestones are expected to be achieved today.

The Monday collection in Tamil Nadu is among the highest ever recorded for a working day. Most films that posted similar Monday numbers had the advantage of a public holiday, but Karuppu managed these collections on a regular weekday. Among non holiday Monday collections in Tamil Nadu, the film is behind only The Greatest of All Time and Vikram. Those films went on to earn more than Rs. 200 crore and Rs. 180 crore respectively in the state.

Trade trends suggest that Karuppu may finish with more than Rs. 150 crore in Tamil Nadu alone if it continues to hold well over the next few days. The film is also performing steadily outside Tamil Nadu. The Telugu version is holding decently despite mixed audience reactions in some areas. Karnataka and Kerala both contributed more than Rs. 1 crore on Monday.

Karuppu is also being seen as Suriya’s first major theatrical HIT since Singam II in 2013. Over the years, the actor delivered several films that either opened well but failed to sustain or gained appreciation later without a strong start. Some of his well received films were also released directly on digital platforms during the COVID period. With Karuppu, strong opening numbers and audience support have finally come together after many years.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Reaches Rs. 20 Crore In Just 4 Days

Ayushmann Khurrana’s romantic comedy drama Pati Patni Aur Woh Do continued its theatrical run with a stable performance on its first Monday. The film collected Rs. 3 crore on Day 4, which was around a 20 per cent drop compared to its opening day collection. The hold is being seen as decent for a film in this genre, especially during weekdays.

With the latest numbers, the total box office collection of the movie has reached Rs. 20 crore in 4 days. The film had shown growth over the weekend before slowing down slightly on Monday. Trade estimates suggest that the movie may finish its first week in the range of Rs. 25 crore to Rs. 28 crore, depending on how it performs during the remaining weekdays.

Even though the overall direction of the film’s box office journey has become clearer now, industry observers are still watching to see where the final lifetime collection lands. Based on the current trend, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is expected to end its theatrical run with around Rs. 40 crore to Rs. 50 crore nett collection. This is being considered a respectable total for a small to medium budget film in the current market.

The report also highlights how the post pandemic period has affected small town comedy films. Before the pandemic, especially during 2018 and 2019, several films from this genre performed strongly in theatres. Ayushmann Khurrana was one of the leading actors in this space, delivering multiple successful films that opened well at the box office. According to trade expectations, if Pati Patni Aur Woh Do had released before 2020, its opening numbers could have been much higher.

The day wise box office collections of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do are as follows:

Day 1 – Rs. 3.75 crore
Day 2 – Rs. 5.50 crore
Day 3 – Rs. 7.75 crore
Day 4 – Rs. 3.00 crore (est.)

Total – Rs. 20 crore
