Anurag Kashyap goes beast mode! “Unkill 123” poster shocks fans

Brutal & menacing: Anurag Kashyap’s first look in Sam Anton’s thriller

Filmmaker and actor Anurag Kashyap is set to surprise audiences with a powerful new avatar in his upcoming Tamil film Unkill 123, directed by Sam Anton. The film’s striking first-look poster, released by Vels Film International, showcases Kashyap in a dark, intense, and menacing persona — a stark departure from his previous appearances.

Sharing the poster on Instagram, the production house wrote, “Every click has a consequence. Here’s the first look of #UNKILL_123 — a terrifying digital nightmare begins!” The post quickly went viral, with fans flooding the comments section with fire emojis and excitement for Kashyap’s bold transformation.

While details about the film remain under wraps, the poster alone has built massive curiosity about Kashyap’s character and the story’s chilling digital theme.

In a lighter moment recently, Anurag Kashyap shared his fanboy experience of meeting cricket legend Rahul Dravid. The Gangs of Wasseypur director posted a picture with the former Indian captain on Instagram, captioning it, “Met my hero on a flight.” The candid post resonated widely, earning love from both film and cricket fans alike.

Kashyap also opened up about the emotional challenges he faced following the failure of his 2015 film Bombay Velvet. Reflecting on that period, he described it as “the worst experience of my life.” He explained, “If I could have owned this failure, this film wouldn’t have been a trauma for me. It became a trauma because of how much negativity surrounded it.” When asked if it was his lowest professional phase, he admitted, “Yes, during post-production, not the shoot. That’s when I went on the back foot.”

Released in 2015, Bombay Velvet was a neo-noir period crime drama inspired by Gyan Prakash’s Mumbai Fables, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Karan Johar in lead roles.
