Hayley Kiyoko’s Girls Like Girls Brings the Viral Love Story to the Big Screen

0

Hayley Kiyoko’s Girls Like Girls is officially heading to theaters, bringing one of the most recognizable queer love stories of the past decade to the big screen. Backed by Focus Features, the film marks a significant milestone not just for Kiyoko as a filmmaker, but also for fans who have followed the story since its original rise in pop culture.

Directed by Hayley Kiyoko, the project expands the emotional world first introduced in her music and storytelling, transforming it into a full-length cinematic narrative. The film stars Maya Da Costa and Myra Molloy in the central roles, supported by Levon Hawke and Zach Braff, creating a cast that blends emerging talent with recognizable names.

Behind the scenes, the production brings together an experienced team. Producers include Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, Michael Philip, Jason Moring, Richard Alan Reid, Katie McNicol, and Dee Best, signaling a project that aims for both artistic sincerity and mainstream appeal.
What makes Girls Like Girls particularly anticipated is its cultural context.

Stories centered on queer romance, especially those aimed at younger audiences, have been gaining greater visibility in recent years, but there is still a demand for narratives that treat these relationships with emotional depth rather than tokenism. Kiyoko’s work has long resonated with audiences for its honesty and vulnerability, and expectations are high that the film will carry that same authenticity.

Fans are also curious about how the story will evolve in a feature-length format. Expanding a narrative that originally lived in shorter visual storytelling allows for deeper character development, richer backstories, and more layered emotional arcs. That shift could turn what began as a viral moment into a fully realized coming-of-age romance.
With Focus Features involved, the film is likely to aim for both festival attention and theatrical audiences, positioning it as a project that could connect with viewers well beyond its original fanbase.

For now, Girls Like Girls stands as one of the more intriguing upcoming romance dramas, not only because of its origins but because of what it represents. It is a story about identity, love, and belonging, told by a creator who has lived the experience she is putting on screen, and that authenticity may be exactly what gives the film its emotional power.

Camila Cabello Working on New Pop and R&B Songs for Upcoming Album

0

Camila Cabello is already looking ahead to her next musical chapter. According to recent updates circulating in the music industry, the singer has been working on new material that leans heavily into both pop and R&B, signaling a possible evolution in her sound.

Cabello has never been afraid to experiment with genres. Over the years, she has moved from the Latin-pop influences of Camila to the more experimental and concept-driven approach of Familia and her later projects. This upcoming album is said to continue that pattern of reinvention, with insiders suggesting a smoother, more rhythm-driven sound that blends melodic pop hooks with contemporary R&B production.

Fans have been watching closely for clues about the direction of her new era. Studio sightings, collaborations, and subtle hints on social media have fueled speculation that the next album may explore more personal and introspective themes. Artists often turn to R&B to express vulnerability and storytelling, and many listeners believe Cabello could be entering one of the most emotionally mature phases of her career.

Another point of curiosity is potential collaborations. Cabello has previously worked with a wide range of artists across genres, and the pop-R&B fusion opens the door to new creative partnerships. Producers known for atmospheric and minimalist production have been shaping much of modern R&B, and fans are eager to see which direction she ultimately chooses.

Timing is also an interesting factor. The pop landscape in recent years has seen a resurgence of R&B-influenced records, with artists blending genres rather than sticking to traditional boundaries. If Cabello leans fully into that space, her next album could align with a broader shift in mainstream music toward more soulful, stripped-back sounds.

For now, details about the album’s title, release date, and tracklist remain under wraps. But one thing seems clear. Camila Cabello is preparing another reinvention, and if the reported pop and R&B direction holds true, the next era could be one of her most sonically refined yet.

Margot Robbie Recalls Being Given a Weight-Loss Book by a Male Co-Star Early in Her Career

0

Margot Robbie has opened up about a moment from the early days of her career that still stands out to her today. The actress revealed that a male co-star once gave her a weight-loss book, something she immediately recognized as more than just an awkward gesture.

Robbie recalled that the message behind the gift was clear. It was meant to suggest that she should lose weight. Her reaction at the time was blunt and honest. She said she was stunned and thought, “fuck you, dude,” describing the experience as both insulting and surreal.

The incident reflects a reality that many actors, especially women, have spoken about over the years. Hollywood has long been criticized for placing intense and often unrealistic expectations on appearance, particularly when it comes to body image. For young performers just starting out, those pressures can be even more difficult to navigate.

Robbie’s comments also highlight how casually these expectations were sometimes communicated in the past. What might have been framed as “advice” or “help” often carried a deeper message about conformity and standards that were rarely applied equally to male actors.

Over time, the conversation around body image in the entertainment industry has started to shift. More performers have begun speaking openly about their experiences, challenging outdated norms and calling out behavior that once went unspoken. Robbie’s story adds to that growing discussion.

Today, Margot Robbie is one of the most successful and respected actors in the industry, known not only for her performances but also for her confidence and presence on and off screen.

Looking back, moments like the one she described serve as reminders of how much the industry has changed, and how much further it still has to go.

Tarun Khanna to play Mahadev in &TV’s dramedy Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan!

0

&TV is expanding its slate of light-hearted and relatable content with its upcoming divine dramedy Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan!. Set in the spiritual city of Ujjain, the show promises a mix of slice-of-life humour, emotional moments, and a subtle mythological touch. Headlining the show is veteran actor Tarun Khanna, known for portraying mythological characters with depth and dignity. He will be seen playing Mahadev in a refreshing and humanised avatar, bringing divinity closer to everyday life with a touch of humour.

Sharing his thoughts on the role, Tarun Khanna says, “Portraying Mahadev has been an immensely exciting and creatively fulfilling experience for me. This interpretation of Shiva is ruggedly charming, warm, and quietly observant, often amused, and at times gently baffled, by the absurdities of human behaviour. What truly distinguishes him is the way he communicates; through riddles, wit, and references that resonate with today’s generation, making him relatable and approachable in a way audiences haven’t witnessed before. Exploring this lighter, more playful dimension of divinity has been a joy, where Mahadev walks among humans, subtly guiding them, and even brings celestial allies in human form, known only to Mahesh.”

He further adds, “In real life, I deeply resonate with Shivji’s philosophy. He is called Bholenath, yet his innocence is often misunderstood. He is compassionate and accessible, but also profoundly wise and worldly. Striking that balance is what I strive to bring to the character. In this show, when God himself descends to Earth and begins living like a human, especially in a city like Ujjain, it naturally gives rise to moments that are entertaining, emotional, and deeply thought-provoking. We have seen Mahadev on Mount Kailash, but Mahadev in Ujjain is an experience audiences have never had before. I sincerely hope viewers embark on this journey with us and find it as beautiful as we have while creating it.”

With its blend of humour, spirituality and emotional storytelling, the show aims to offer viewers a fresh take on mythology, placing the divine in everyday human situations.

New York!

If you wanna have fun
With charm and delight
You just have to live (Where?)
A summer in New York (New York!)
If you wanna have fun
With charm and delight (But what’s this?)
You just have to live (And this cold?)
A summer in New York (Just for a bit)

Hey, hey, hey, July 4th, 4th of July
I’m hanging out drunk with my cousin, feeling fly
My people in The Bronx know what’s up
Buzzing high over in Washington Heights
Willie Colón, they call me “The Bad One,” hey
‘Cause the years go by and I’m still hitting hard
Selling albums like Frida Kahlo paintings
The coke is white, yeah, yeah, the 2CB’s pink, eh-еh
Don’t get it twisted, no, no, bettеr avoid it, hey (Hey)
A shot of rum at Toñita’s house and Puerto Rico feels so close
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I have the championship, nobody can take it from me

The best in the world
Number one, the best in the world, okay? Puerto Rico!

How’s Bad Bunny gonna be the king of pop, hey, with reggaetón and dembow?
Hey, with reggaetón and dembow, yeah, with reggaetón and dembow
How’s Bad Bunny gonna be the king of pop, hey, with reggaetón and dembow?
I feel like Lápiz in “Capea El Dough”
When I was born, that’s when flow was born
Back and forth, ping-pong
A heavy flow, Big Pun
With a silencer, we steal the girls, James Bond, hey
I’m in my zone, I’ve got no rival, no
With the Yankees and the Mets, Juan Soto
Run, ’cause we’re knocking it out of the park again (Hey)

If you wanna have fun
With charm and delight
You just have to live (We’re leaving soon)
A summer in New— (Relax, man)

Shh, careful, don’t let anyone hear us
Shh, careful, don’t let anyone hear us
Shh, careful, don’t let anyone hear us
Shh, caref—

You’ve got swagger, baby, so do I
You’re hot, so am I
I smell good and I roll with the best
If you want it, you’ve got to move it
You’ve got swagger, baby, so do I
You’re hot, so am I
I smell good and I roll with the best
If you want it, you’ve got to move it

You’ve got to move it, move-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve
You’ve got to move it, move-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve
You’ve got to move it, move-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve
You’ve got to move it, move-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve

Kapil Sharma Gets Candid About Depression, Failure And Why His Biopic Can Wait

0

Kapil Sharma, one of India’s most beloved comedians, has built a career on laughter, relatability, and resilience. From dominating television with his impeccable comic timing to making a mark in films and now hosting a successful Netflix talk show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Recently, the comedian-turned-actor spoke candidly about one of the darkest phases of his life — his battle with depression at the age of 36.

In an interview with The Times of India, Kapil reflected on the many ups and downs that have shaped him, both personally and professionally. Looking back, he described how every phase of his life came with its own emotional weight. “Every phase had its own charm. Childhood was different. When my father was there, that phase was different. After he passed away in 2004, life went completely off track,” Kapil shared.

The loss of his father deeply affected him, but television eventually offered him a second chance. Kapil found his footing again and rose to massive fame — only to face another setback years later. “Then I got another chance on TV and came back on track. At 36, depression hit me hard and I went completely down. People started saying, ‘He’s finished,’” he revealed.

Kapil admitted that public perception during that time was harsh, but life slowly turned around. Marriage, personal stability, and the return of his show played a crucial role in his recovery. “Then I got married. Then the show came back. Then I did 300+ episodes again,” he said, highlighting how perseverance helped him rebuild his life and career.

Sharing a life lesson from his experiences, Kapil emphasized that uncertainty is the only constant. He believes that continuing to work with honesty and good intentions eventually leads to positive outcomes. “The only certainty in life is uncertainty. You just keep working with good intentions, and good things keep happening,” he added.

Kapil also addressed ongoing rumours about a biopic being made on his life. Clearing the air, he explained that while some producer friends have casually discussed the idea, he doesn’t believe the time is right. “I’ve just begun to understand life properly. What biopic will they make right now? Maybe someday in the future,” he said.

On the work front, Kapil was recently seen in the sequel to his 2015 film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, alongside Manjot Singh, Warina Hussain, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan. However, the film struggled at the box office due to stiff competition from Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar.

Despite setbacks, Kapil Sharma’s story remains one of grit, growth, and an unbreakable bond with his audience.

Allu Arjun’s Shocking Rules: No Eye Contact, No Handshakes!

0

Meeting Telugu superstar Allu Arjun is a dream for millions of fans, but a recently surfaced podcast clip has ignited unexpected controversy around what such an interaction might actually entail. A brand strategist’s claims about a long list of strict protocols allegedly followed before meeting the Pushpa star have left social media stunned and deeply divided.

The viral clip features Kaveri Baruah, who previously worked in the brand strategy department at Royal Enfield. Recounting her professional experience on a podcast, Kaveri described what she called an “interesting encounter” with Allu Arjun. According to her, meeting the actor came with a document outlining as many as 42 dos and don’ts.

Referring to the star’s stature in the Telugu film industry, she said, “South stars come with entourage. Before meeting him, we had a note which had 42 dos and don’ts, and they have manager ka manager ka manager.” What truly shocked listeners was her claim that some of the rules allegedly included not looking into the actor’s eyes and not shaking his hand.

When the interviewer asked why such a rule existed, Kaveri candidly responded, “Mere ko kya pata? That’s the rule.” When pressed further about other restrictions, she chose not to elaborate, adding fuel to the mystery and controversy.

The clip spread rapidly across X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, triggering mixed reactions. Several users dismissed the claims outright. One user sarcastically commented, “Those aren’t his rules, those are his wife’s.” Another netizen strongly refuted the story, claiming a personal experience: “My father met Allu Arjun during Pushpa 2 shooting in Visakhapatnam. No bouncer drama, no managers. All cooked-up lies.”

However, not all responses defended the actor. A critical post read, “@alluarjun is one of the most overrated actors and extremely arrogant, based on personal accounts. No one talks about how nepotism fuels the Telugu film industry.”

With opinions sharply split, the claims remain unverified. Neither Allu Arjun nor his team has issued any clarification or response to the viral podcast clip so far.

On the professional front, the actor remains firmly in demand. Following the massive success of the Pushpa franchise, Allu Arjun has two high-profile projects lined up—one with Atlee and another with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Though primarily associated with Telugu cinema, both films are expected to be mounted as pan-India releases, further cementing his national stardom.

Ranveer Singh’s Sudden Exit from Don 3 Inside the Fallout with Farhan Akhtar!

0

Don 3, envisioned as a fresh chapter in one of Hindi cinema’s most iconic franchises, was announced with much fanfare, with Ranveer Singh stepping into the titular role and Farhan Akhtar returning as director-producer under Excel Entertainment. However, recent reports suggest that the ambitious project has been hit by serious internal friction, leading to a fallout between the lead actor and the filmmaker.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, tensions between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar escalated to the point where the matter was discussed in meetings facilitated by the Producers Guild of India (GUILD). These meetings reportedly involved several influential figures from the film industry in an attempt to address the dispute and reach a resolution.

The second such meeting is said to have taken place on February 7, with prominent industry names including Aamir Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ramesh Taurani, Kumar Taurani, and other key stakeholders in attendance. During this meeting, an anonymous producer reportedly shed light on Ranveer Singh’s grievances against Excel Entertainment.

As per the account shared, Ranveer allegedly accused the production house of unprofessional conduct and a lack of seriousness about commencing Don 3. The actor reportedly claimed that Farhan Akhtar never had a bound script ready and that, as a performer, he preferred committing to projects only when the material was fully developed. He allegedly expressed discomfort with the evolving nature of the script and the absence of creative clarity.

The producer further stated that Ranveer felt Farhan Akhtar was not receptive to feedback and struggled to integrate certain subplots into the narrative. Additionally, Ranveer’s camp reportedly alleged that Excel Entertainment had explored the possibility of casting Hrithik Roshan for the project and approached Ranveer again only after the success of Dhurandhar, seemingly to capitalize on his renewed box-office momentum.

The report also claimed that Ranveer’s team asserted the actor had endured nearly three years of indecision, during which the project failed to move forward meaningfully. They alleged that Farhan Akhtar’s focus was divided due to multiple commitments, including his acting career, leaving Don 3 creatively underdeveloped. According to Ranveer’s side, the script did not align with his stature as a leading star, further contributing to his decision to exit the project.

On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar reportedly presented a contrasting narrative during the Guild discussions. He allegedly raised concerns about Ranveer Singh’s temperament and demands, submitting documents to counter claims related to script dissatisfaction. Farhan reportedly maintained that Ranveer had never formally expressed issues with the script and had, in fact, shown enthusiasm about portraying the third-generation Don, following in the footsteps of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

Farhan also reportedly stated that the script had been shared with Ranveer at regular intervals and approved at various stages. According to his account, the actor’s exit came as a surprise, especially after producers had already agreed to multiple demands.

The report further suggests that Ranveer Singh’s departure resulted in financial losses amounting to approximately Rs 40 crore for the makers. In response, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are reportedly seeking reimbursement and have urged industry bodies to consider framing resolutions against what they describe as “unreasonable star demands.”

Meanwhile, Ranveer’s side reportedly maintained that he was deeply disappointed by how a franchise of Don 3’s scale was being handled. He allegedly felt that if serious issues existed even before the film went on floors, the situation on set could be far worse. Choosing what he perceived as professional sanity over a compromised project, the actor decided to walk away.

As of now, neither party has issued an official statement, and the future of Don 3 remains uncertain amid conflicting claims.
