Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to Mumbai’s Critical Care Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday after he suddenly fainted at home on Tuesday night. The 60-year-old star reportedly fell unconscious around 8:30 pm on November 11 and later complained of disorientation, prompting his family and friends to rush him to the hospital around 1 am. The news of his hospitalisation came as a shock to fans, especially since he was seen just a day earlier visiting veteran actor Dharmendra at Breach Candy Hospital.

Hours after his admission, Govinda shared his first reaction, reassuring fans about his health. In a voice message to ANI, the actor said, “Thank you so much… I am fine,” putting to rest some of the growing concern around his condition. Reports indicate that doctors have conducted several medical tests, and the actor is currently stable.

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, also shared an update with the media. Speaking to ANI, he said, “He is currently under observation and is conscious. Doctors are expected to review his condition around 12 noon, after which further decisions will be taken. His medical tests are still ongoing.” The hospital is yet to confirm when the actor will be discharged.

Govinda’s close friend, Lalit Bindal, who accompanied him to the hospital, told PTI that the actor collapsed suddenly but was able to call him for help. “He suddenly collapsed at home this evening, then he called me. I brought him to Critical Care Hospital. He is under the supervision of doctors and his investigation is ongoing,” Bindal said. He also took to Instagram to share a post requesting prayers for the actor’s recovery, writing, “My dear and respected Govinda has been admitted in hospital with complaints of disorientation and unconsciousness. I pray for his speedy recovery.”

Meanwhile, Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, was spotted at the airport on November 11 but has not yet commented on her husband’s health condition. Fans and well-wishers from across the film industry have flooded social media with messages of support and concern for the actor, who remains one of Bollywood’s most beloved entertainers.
