Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has officially begun shooting for his upcoming fantasy adventure Naagzilla. On Saturday, the actor took to Instagram to share the exciting update, posting a cheerful photo of himself holding a clapboard bearing the film’s title and the name of director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. A haldi teeka was visible on the clapboard, hinting that the team performed a traditional puja before commencing the shoot.

In the caption, Kartik revealed a special coincidence — the first day of Naagzilla’s shoot also marked one year since the release of his hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He wrote, “1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev

In Naagzilla, Kartik will be seen in a unique avatar as Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an icchadhaari naag (shape-shifting serpent). His first look from the film was unveiled earlier in April, when producer Karan Johar shared a motion poster on social media, writing, “Insaanon wali picturein toh bahut dekh li, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar! #NaagZilla – Naag lok ka pehla kaand… funn phailaane aa raha hai Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand. Naag Panchami par, 14 August 2026!”

Described as a mix of fantasy, folklore, and full-on fun, the film’s plot details are still under wraps. However, insiders suggest that Naagzilla could potentially launch a new franchise depending on its performance. Reports also indicate that Ravi Kishan has joined the cast, though an official announcement is awaited.

The project marks Kartik’s second collaboration with Karan Johar, following Tu Meri Main Tera Tu Meri. With an intriguing storyline, a mythological twist, and Kartik in a never-seen-before role, Naagzilla promises to be one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026.

Actress and singer Shehnaaz Gill recently opened up about her views on marriage, saying she doesn’t consider it a necessity in today’s world. Promoting her latest release, Ikk Kudi, Shehnaaz shared that while she has no immediate plans to tie the knot, she isn’t completely dismissing the idea either.

“Marriage is not important. If you don’t want to do it, it’s okay,” Shehnaaz told IANS. “Even though I feel I won’t get married, I can’t say never. Maybe someday I’ll have to do it. I just want to make the right decision for myself.”

Her new film Ikk Kudi, released on October 31, also marks Shehnaaz’s debut as a producer. Directed and written by Amarjit Singh Saron, the film follows the journey of a young woman navigating the challenges of finding the right life partner.

Reflecting on the seriousness of marriage, Shehnaaz added, “It’s a big decision. You leave your parents’ home and give your life to someone you don’t fully know. It’s uncertain, so let’s see what happens.”

Shehnaaz rose to fame after her memorable stint on Bigg Boss 13, where her chemistry with the late Sidharth Shukla won millions of hearts. In Bollywood, she was last seen in the film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, appearing in the song Sajna Ve Sajna.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly in talks to collaborate with acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for the first time. According to a viral Reddit post, the unexpected duo may soon team up for a “dark, grounded action cop thriller.” While details about the project remain under wraps, the news has already sparked major buzz in the film industry given their contrasting cinematic styles and past differences.

The post further claims that Bobby Deol is playing a key role in bringing the two together. Reportedly, Bobby — who has immense respect for Salman for helping revive his career — also enjoyed working with Anurag in the upcoming film Bandar, which many say features one of his finest performances. Acting as a mediator, Bobby is said to have helped bridge the gap between the two Bollywood heavyweights.

Interestingly, this development comes amid renewed tensions between Salman Khan and Anurag’s brother, Abhinav Kashyap, who directed Dabangg (2010) before publicly falling out with the actor. In a recent interview, Abhinav harshly criticized Salman and his family, calling the star “ill-mannered,” “vindictive,” and uninterested in acting. He even labeled him a “gunda,” alleging that the Khan family controls the industry and targets those who don’t comply.

Despite these remarks, sources note that Abhinav and Anurag Kashyap are estranged and do not interfere in each other’s personal or professional lives.

Anurag and Salman also share a complicated past. The Gangs of Wasseypur director once revealed he was supposed to helm Tere Naam but was removed after asking Salman to grow chest hair for authenticity. “I got fired because I asked the hero to grow chest hair,” Anurag recalled, explaining that the film’s Agra-Mathura setting demanded realism.
